As I posted yesterday, I also did not receive the Freedom Shall Prevail achievement right away. After a couple of games of SHOWDOWN on co-op, achievement popped.

Now for an update. I had 4 friends on my list that also had this problem. After an ALL NIGHT gaming marathon with them, and doing co-op on showdown ALL 4 friends received their FSP achievement. Just thought it might be helpful. I will also be doing another marathon tonight with some others with this problem, and I will update in the morning.

After going through the whole campaign with a friend, I didnt get the ach, but he did. Total suckitude, i'll have to play a few rounds as a guest today...

Did you try deleting ALL R6V files, clearing cache and then doing showdown again?

 I deleted all the data when I did the workaround for the PFC achievement without resetting my rank! Maybe his gamertag has special powers if you are in his friends list lol

come on we need some news on the patch.

My friend was able to reset his rank and get the achievement. I'm not sure how he was able to do it but it went something like this.
Reset your rank in RSV then sign out and pop in RSV2. Once in a certain menue (cant remember which one it was) Sign in as the profile you want and at some point you push start a buch of times and your rank is reset somehow. I'm sorry thats all I know. Hope that helps a little. I decided that PFC achievement will be my last. So once I have all the others I will reset my rank.

Are you talking about the PFC achievement? If so there is a detailed explanation on here with how to get it by resetting your rank but then actually going back to the rank you were before so you dont lose any data! It's in the first post so not hard to find :D

So two of my friends who are officers or better have PFC now.  Was there a patch released or is everyone just doing work arounds?

according to the Ubisoft forum the update today has fixed the glitches although i dont have the achievement yet im wondering if i need to complete a scene to force it to check my ticks?? WIll let u know if i find a game online!:

That Wasn’t So Hard - Ribbon
Your ribbon now unlocks when you get the achievement.

I know HOW to do the work around, I was just asking if there was a patch released, and yes, there was.

but im sceptical over the FSP achievement seen as it was meant to pop when i loaded my profile!

But it does work! YAY! It popped after doing Act 1 scene 1 so anyone who has had trouble, just complete a scene to get it :D

That's not too surprising as completing an act was the initial trigger for the achievement.
