Can i just note whilst i love this article, and i think that it is well written. However if the writer had really paid attention to the game, maybe he would have noticed that the AC-130 is not infact a helicopter but rather the AC-130 is a heavily armed ground attack plane Manufactured by lockhead and Boeing, it is not a helicopter, please if you did play the game thru you should have noticed this as it is infact shown to you with its armaments in a "blueprint" form prior to the mission.

Watched one work from the ground in Fallujah. It's like god is pissed at you.

I just read that as well. They even show a graphic of the aircraft right before that mission. good eye man!

I spent 3 years onboard a Spectre across the pond.  I too was shocked to see it referred to as a helicopter!

He was refering to the mission where you're in a chopper blowing up tanks and giving air support. Not the AC-130 mission. He mentions the AC-130, but he's not calling it a chopper.

'Grenade gunnery: The AC-130 isn't your only flight experience. In one mission, you must man a chopper's side-mounted, automatic grenade launcher, and clear the way for your comrades below by shredding tanks, blowing up machinegun nests, and eliminating RPG-toting rooftop soldiers, among much else'.

3 am in Fallujah sleep deprived and pissed off was a little confusing. I didn't know what the *** it was for the first 5 minutes. I just thought more haji's were trying to kill me. And the air force has a spotty record of identifying friendlies on the ground.
