Yes, there is strategy in Frontlines, Battlefield, or Call of Duty 4 and WaW, but do those games actually forces you to think heavily on strategy?  Do you think when you play those games, or do you just go in guns a blazing?

ETQW requires you to think.  Requires you to strategize your next movement.

What makes this game so great, is the community we have left.  Unlike those who teamkill, brag about stats, being an idiot over voip, this game has all civilized people, because after playing this game for so long, they aren't subject to mindlessness.  This game filters out all of those non thinkers because this game, well requires you to think.

Out of every shooter I played, this one forced me to use my brain.  Seriously.  The other shooters, I look at the screen, pressing buttons, and looking like a zombie.

I can't wait for the day when xbox live becomes free because its other competitors sure did the free thing. PCs included

Yes, most people like mindless shooters. This was awesome and still would be awesome if people still played it.

I recently picked up Frontlines for $15. It's slightly dumber than QW but not as dumb as a typical run-in-circles shooter and plenty of people are still playing. It's sort of a compromise I guess.

It's a shame QW didnt have any staying power. It's really quite an amazing game but running up against bots gets old.

If you can get it for $10 and have never played it before I say it's worth it just to experience the unique FPS/RTS/Strategy format of the game.

Well, it does have bots in SP and they seem to play just like humans.  I bought this game for $10 from GameFly and I think it's worth it.  I haven't tried going online with it, but I don't mind so much because the SP feels just like online without all the worthless trashtalking normally associated with XBL.

I had this game and sold it thinking that "Battlefield" and a host of other shooters would be better and they aren't.

This one is just good fun.  The specialist roles add a great depth to it but it still preserves the run and gun mentality that keeps online shooters fast paced and fun.

I would snap it up at 10 dolloars or 10 pounds.  As it stands, even 2nd hand, I still have to find it for less than £29.99.

£12 in Cex. Got it yesterday. So I got it for around the $6 region. Well worth the money. Even if the online is dead.

It was $14.99 at Buy.com I think awhile back. Where did you find it for $10?

definitely worth it for 10$. there isn't a lot of people playing, but the community is pretty good and lacks the dbags you run into in other games. I say go for it!
