Achievement Guide/ FAQ
A Kingdom For Keflings Achievement Guide
by JawsVictim

This might seem a little redundant, since the achievements are fairly easy and straightforward. However, I like making guides and you never know who will need one. So this will explain how to get all the achievements and answer some FAQ's at the end.

Achievement Guide:

Single Player Achievements:

Sienfried (Or Roy): 5 G
Trained a Kefling (Single Player)
Simply pick up any kefling and drop them down on a resource. They will get a hat and will start to work on the job.

If I had a Hammer: 5 G
Built a lumbermill (Single Player)
Build each of the buildings in the game and the lumbermill will eventually pop up. Build that, and the achievement is yours.

Think Big: 10G
Built a building made of more than 8 pieces (Single Player)
Continue building and one of the blueprints will have 8 pieces on it. This is another automatic achievement.

Big Bully: 15G
Became the big bully of the village (Single Player)
Find a Kefling (or remove their hat) and kick them a couple times in a row. They should not have a job when you kick them or else the achievement won't pop.

Frank Lloyd: 25G
Unlocked 25 blueprints (Single Player)
Again, just keep building blueprints (even buildings you may not want, like the sculptor) and more options will pop up.

Like Rabbits: 15G
Reached a total Kefling population of 30 (Single Player)
Make sure you're doing the quests that your mayor (or Lord, or King) Kefling are offering, and make sure you build each of the buildings. Put a trained Kefling in that building and it will usually open up more quests or buildings. Then you will get more Love, and can build more houses for more Keflings, and the achievement is yours. I got mine after playing about 3 hours.

Master Builder: 25G
Build a cathedral (Single Player)
Self explanatory. Build a Cathedral.

Haberdasher: 20G
Encountered every possible Kefling hat (Single Player)
This is one of the last achievements you'll get, you need to build a castle so your King or Queen hat shows up. Make sure you have someone in each building, and make sure you have had a Keflings in each trade and the achievement should pop.

Vanity: 20G
Built a glorious statue of oneself (Single Player)
This one is a bit misleading because you can't build a statue of your avatar. Instead, you have to build one of the standard NPC's, like Maia. Build four busts from the sculpter's office, and put them all together like you would a tower. They will form a colossus statue, and the achievement is yours.

King: 40G
Finished a complete castle with three connected parts (Single Player)
Connect an arsenal and a residential tower to the castle with walls from the castle workshop, and the achievement will pop. It doesn't have to be those two, though.

Online Achievements:

Friend: 10G
Collected 10 unique player banners from other giants during Xbox LIVE play
This one is the one I found the hardest in the game since people on LIVE will come in and randomly destroy your buildings. You just need to see 10 Banner Towers (built from the town workshop) be built over multiple games. You can save and quit and come back, you just need to see 10 get built. You can't see how many you have, so just keep trying to go into different games and asking them to built the towers.

World Traveler: 10G
Played in an online game where 20 different player banners appear
You need to play in a game that has 20 Banner towers up. Most people have the same one saved to their harddrive, or you can try collecting 20 unique ones yourself. You DON'T have to see them all get built, just see them in a game.

FAQ'S:

Where is [random] building? It's not showing up in my blueprints.
Just keep working on each and every building, and the one you're looking for will eventually show up. However, there is one difference. When you get the quest to either allow in gypsies or trade businessmen, you can only get them. There isn't any way to get both. The gypsys give you a monolith tower, a crystal harvester that boosts your crystal gathering powers, and a lumber booster. The business men give you a boost to wool and brick. They also give you a clock tower that's really awesome, and a market.

My game keeps freezing! Is there anything I can do?
Save often.

How do I make Keflings carry resources to [Building]?
Just like you asked it! EX: Pick up a Kefling and drop them on a tree, then pick them up again and drop them in the Basic Workshop. They will now carry logs from the tree to the workshop.

What is the max amount of Keflings you can have in the game?
41. It's 39 if you pick up running shoes before the Mayor gives you a quest, and the subsequent heart you get for it. Thank you YaZeus.

I don't want to find each of my Keflings, how do I make them magically come to me?
Press up twice on your D-Pad and your avatar will wave and all the (idle) Keflings will run to their master! Thank you Dajuse.

Is there local co-op?
Nope, online xbox LIVE only. You'll need two xbox's and two gold accounts to play.

The music is driving me insane! How do I play my own?
I find it charming. But yeah, it gets repetitive. Play the music from xbox dash and it will auto shut off the music in the game.

Anything else I need to know?
Get rid of your finite resources first, as you can find hearts, books, and tools in them. THEN move to the inifinite resources at the edge of the map.

That's all for now, comment if you like/didn't like as well as anything that needs to be updated!

You can't "make" hearts, you can only either find them in random unused resources, or earn them from quests.

Is there any benefit to upgrading your Keffling houses into cottages? It just says something about being well rested.

I believe it gives an increase in score and the number of stars.  Stars are important for two of the quests, though beyond that, I'm not sure the value.

Re: Achievement Guide/ FAQ
It gives you more stars like the other poster said, and consequently your leaderboard position goes up with the more stars you have. Amusingly, you can knock stuff down and rebuild it and still have your leaderboard position go up. The way the guy at the top did it was build a colossus from 4 busts, then knock it down and rebuild it multiple times for the 8 stars.

That's kind of a cheap glitch. =/

I hope they patch it to fix that.  I hate leaderboard glitches.  It's the main reason I so rarely look at leaderboards.

It might be worth mentioning that when you build the 4 busts for the vanity achievement they all have to be the same bust.... ie... 4 Trevors, 4 Maias, etc.

My first FAQ was for Fable II, it's posted in the Fable II forums. The only reason I made that one was because I was tired of seeing the same questions posted over and over as I obsessively refreshed the pages...

Unfortunately that's par for the course on forums.  Perhaps if it gets stickied it would help cut down on the number of repeat questions.

I'm going to "report" the thread and request that it be stickied.  I don't know of any other way to draw attention to it to get it there.

Just doubling checking, but the last glove upgrade...... that's earned through a quest, right?  I'm pretty sure I've harvested all the finite resources and it's the only thing I am missing at the moment.

I haven't begun building the castle or a couple other buildings yet though because I am focusing on my side project and don't want to run out of space.

Yes, its the upgrade that lets you move just as fast carrying loads as you were without.

Actually what it does now, or maybe had always done, is when you knock down a building it takes away from your star count and when you put it back up it just adds the stars back to your total.

So it doesn't boost your stars anymore, not sure if it ever did.
