How to find a Jasper console in stores:Unfortunately there is no guaranteed way of finding a Jasper console at this point, even if all of the below information matches (or exceeds) a console in stores. Please keep this in mind while trying to find a Jasper console, and when you are posting in this thread.
The following information is from confirmed Jasper consoles. Your best bet is to try and match this exactly before you purchase a new 360, as newer consoles have been found and are Falcon, NOT Jasper. This information will be updated regularly, or you can look in the discussion below for the most up to date info.
Lot Number: 0842X
Team: FDOU/CSON
Manufacture Date: 10/14/2008
PSU Output: 175W
Console Power Rating: 12.1A
The lot number, team, manufacture date, as well as the power rating can
be seen without opening the box. See “How to find Lot and Team info:”
below. Finding a console with a later manf. date or higher lot number
will increase your chances of getting a Jasper console. Lots higher than 0845
should guarantee you a Jasper.

What is a Jasper console?Jasper is the latest revision of Xbox 360. Although the console does not physically look any different, the PSU (power supply) has changed, as well as the GPU die size. The PSU is now 150W (as apposed to 175W with Falcon) and the GPU is now 65nm. With this revision the 360 is now a full 65nm console, with both the CPU and GPU die size being 65nm.
Here is a comparison of power usage between all of the 360 revisions, including Jasper:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x127/MRCUR/Jasper/XBOX360PowerComparisonpptx.jpgHow to find Lot and Team info:There is a white sticker on the side of the box with the lot # and team. In order to find the manufacturing date without opening the box, there is a flap on the side of the box that allows you to peek inside and see the manufacturing date on the console itself.
You can also see the console power rating through this opening, to the left of the serial barcode. If 12.1A is listed, then the console is a Jasper.
If you’ve found a Jasper console:Please post the console information! If you have any pics of the box or console (especially the internals!), link to them! The more confirmed Jasper consoles people find, the better this guide will be for everyone.
If you have questions:Read this guide in its entirety. A lot of questions can be answered just by reading everything over once more. If that doesn’t help, then post away! There are plenty of people around to help answer any question and make this guide the best that it can be.
Some thanks and notes:First of all, thank you to everyone who spends a lot of time on these forums (Official Xbox.com) and all the other great forums where Jasper discussions have been happening. Congrats and thanks go to
Scoldingice and
Moddage at the Xbox-Scene forums for finding the first Jasper consoles. A special thanks to Moddage for posting some great pics that aren’t from Mr. Blurrycam. There are also tons of people around here who have put in a lot of time helping to find Falcon and Jasper consoles. Two people in particular,
Mitsuho and
JasperHunter (from Anand), who have put in tons of time into helping people find the first Jasper consoles. I'd also like to thank
Whizard72 for his continued support and
contribution to this thread, as well as
Fusker for all of his fantastic
info. And of course, tons of thanks to
Forum Moderator Boid for helping me manage my Falcon thread (and I’m sure this thread)!
I will attempt to have this guide updated as soon as more info is gathered, but I cannot promise that it will happen right away.
