So, I'll be trying this soon, but I have just one basic question.

Can I save?

For instance, if I get to area 4, beat it and save, then play area 5 and die, can I reload the save again and "hopefully" continue on my path?

I actually just beat that crap last night.... took a long time;.... and to answer your question no you cannot save.

you have to go through it all in one swipe.. and you actually have to play until you beat level 12

*sigh* I was hoping that wouldn't be the case, but it doesn't surprise me that it is. 

Oh well, it's just something else to earn.

That's not entirely true. I just got it after beating the first 11 stages, just like the achievement description says.

oh thats strange because i didn't until after 12. i've heard other people not getting it until then too. i guess its different for everybody lol

I have a question about Megalaser. It appears that I just have not to use Nuke (but I still can collect them) and I have not to die in missions (if I die - I should restart the current mission). So I still can collect Megalaser. Can anyone confirm this?

Yeah, you can still collect the Megalaser.

Thanks a lot! Have gotten this cheevo last night. Right after I have completed Mission 12 "Cannon Happy" style :)

no saves kind of suck, because the game is a bit too long.  right now i want to go to bed, and this game is begging me to keep my xbox on all night to do the old "NES hack-save".
