As Nighthawk stated it, sadly, is not co-op enabled. You have to remember though this was before the days that online co-op was mandatory, or even explored. Because of this if the game WAS co-op it would be split screen, and being a last-gen game with decent graphics it would have created frame rate issues. However it does have split screen multiplayer (Deathmatch, I think there was CTF) and that multiplayer is also online enabled. If you are looking for a good co-op title I'd recomend Halo 1,2,and 3, GRAW 1,2 Is good (I only have the 2nd one though) and CoD 3 Is supposed to have Split screen co-op but you'll have to verify that. Other than that I'd say Google "Top ten co-op games on the xbox" and look for a result from IGN or Gamespot that should give you some good tips.
