As much as I love using the flamethrower theres a few things I dislike about it. I dont like the delay from when you pull the trigger to when the flames actually come out, although this is realistic. I also dislike the fact that I cant go prone while using the flamethrower. But the infinite ammo, the impressive range and the amount of damge it inflicts make it worth using So what do you think about the M2?

I think they need to put the fire damage perk back into the game.. They have the fire damage protection perk, wheres the damage+ perk

I think the reason they dont have that is because the protection perk is the counter to the flamethrower and they dont want it to be unbalanced

I still haven't unlocked it...I'm slow...

I can't wait though.  Should be fun.  It's amazing when you get burned by it and you re-spawn and you still have the flames around the outside of your screen. 

I think it would be crazy if there wasn't a delay when shooting.  Probably a little too overpowered.

There is a difference between knowing the path and walking it.

I think that they should also have the person using a flame thrower burst into a ball of flame, like in sp missions, when they are killed while they have it.

Theres a delay when using it because of your latency to the host. Trust me, I know. I use this weapon most of the time now, just for the fun of it since I'm almost bored with this game already. It's just the same as the delay when you mount your weapon with the bipod. When your host, this delay doesn't happen. I've made posts about this before. I'm not sure why it would be any different than pulling the trigger on your regualar gun vs being in bipod mode. Either way, the crappier the connection, the longer the delay for both the flame thrower and any gun in bi pod mode.

   Off topic: Or perhaps you should learn to deal with negative feedback and try and create a constructive argument rather than display your insecurities about this game for everyone to see...
   On topic: I've seen people use it, I dont have it yet. But it does seem useful when you're trying to clear a room in headquarters or other situations like that, other than that, I would'nt see any other use for it, unless your bad at aiming with a gun.

I came to a conclusion last night, and that conclusion is.........I wish the M2 would've been placed in the weapons category, although I'm not sure where it would fit.  Pyromaniac is sorely missed, even though it never made the cut.

And yes, it does bother me that you can't go prone with the M2 equipped, but I'm sure that's due to balance reasons.

TBH I don't think anyone will ever use the flame proof perk until everyone is in 10th Prestige because it is useless at the moment with people only having the flame thrower for one level and Molotov's useless I think there are much more valuable perks you can use.

The delay is the fuel travelling through the pipes.

As for going prone, it would take along time to get up with that heavy tank on your back.

I like it, but chose to Prestige, so it will be a couple of weeks before i get the pleasure of using it again.

Thats pretty sad you went out of you way and looked up all of his post, no one likes a stalker...   that remindes me of one time when i made fun of a guy in the halo 3 forums and he went to the halo 3 stats site and then made a post comparing me to him... i dont know if i was more scared that he posted that topic or he wasted about half an hour of his life to go out of his way to make me feel "stupid"
