Missing planets
Today I unlocked (what I assume to be) the last planet in the game, Meteo. I got an accessory for it for getting 22 planets so I assumed this to be the total number of planets in the game. However, this wallpaper from the official site shows 36/37 planets (37 if you include the ? planet which is also still on my planet data screen). So here is my question: does anyone know if the missing planets are in the game?
I've only really played mission mode so they may be unlocked for other modes, but I thought they would have Meteo as the last planet you unlock...
Then again these could end up being DLC since the game checks for it at the start.

Re: Missing planets
I have a feelings we may be seeing more planets as DLC, I've only been able to unlock planets in mission mode so far as well and capped at 22.
I like my coffee black just like my metal.

Re: Missing planets
I'm sure they'd be DLC, but I feel like 22 planets may be enough.  I don't know how much I'd pay for more, really...

Re: Missing planets
I must have a ton of time on my hands (lol) but I was curious and decided to break it all down. To others that are interested here is what I found.

These are the 20 planets common to both games, the XBOX Meteos Wars and the DS Meteos game:

01 Anasaze
02 Bavoom
03 Boggob
04 Cavious
05 Dawndus
06 Firim
07 Forte
08 Freaze
09 Geolyte
10 Globin
11 Grannest
12 Gravitas
13 Hevendor
14 Jeljel
15 Lastar
16 Layazero
17 Luna-Luna
18 Mekks
19 Meteo
20 Oleana

These are the two planets unique to the XBOX Meteos Wars:
21 Limotube
22 Lumious

And these are the ones unique to the DS Meteos game:
21 Brabbit
22 Florias
23 Gigagush
24 Hotted
25 Megadom
26 Starrii
27 Suburbion
28 Thirnova
29 Vubble
30 Wiral
31 Wuud
32 Yooj

Now then, if you happen to look here at this wallpaper from the Meteos Wars site:
http://www.meteoswars.com/wallpaper/wp05_1600_1200.jpg

You will see there are a total of 37 planets on there, including the unknown ? planet that really isn't anything at all. The two new unaccounted for Meteos are the ones directly to the left of Meteo itself, and the other is between Geolyte and Hotted (or directly to the right of Geolyte if you are unfamiliar with the DS Meteos game). That's 14 potential planets in DLC. I liked Florias' ditty from the DS and was disappointed it was not here on the XBOX. Hopefully they will not be long in coming to DLC.

Thanks for reading!

edit for minor spelling oopsie.

Re: Missing planets
I just noticed there's a "Meteos Planet Pack" on the web marketplace that says it has 9 planets for 350 points. Don't suppose anyone has it and can say what planets are in it?
The Meteos Wars site only mentions that there are two new planets in it.

350 points... is that worth it?  For a game that nobody plays ever?  I'll have to give it some thought.

Re: Missing planets
I decided to pick it up for the heck of it and here are the planets it gave. Here are the added planets from the DS version that are now on XBOX live version:

23 Brabbit
24 Florias
25 Gigagush
26 Vubble
27 Yooj
28 Wiral

This is the one added from that wallpaper link above. It is the one to the left of Meteo and now has a name:

29 Dejeh

Evidentally they did not add the other one to the right of Geolyte. And here are the final two that are unique to XBOX ... they appear to be going with more animal looking meteos like Limotube:

30 Darthuega (red devil looking evil meteo)
31 Hanihula (looks like a bee)

For those keeping score the following are still missing or not accounted for:

Hotted
Megadom
Starii
Suburbion
Thirnova
Wuud
Unknown planet on wallpaper to the right of Geolyte

I am also not sure if they added more accessories since there was one for each of the initial 22 planets. Hope this info is useful.

Re: Missing planets
Ok looks like you get them automatically as accessories, although I did play each a bit before checking.

Are they fun?  Anything special about them in terms of gameplay?

Re: Missing planets
They are ok I guess. I mainly got them because I originally enjoyed collecting the planets and continued to do so here. They do not add any extra achievements which is disappointing. I found a few of them to be rather difficult, so from that aspect you can get some more challenging planets with this pack. A few that I found challenging were ones which seemed like the planet had high initeria, in which you would launch a stack and it would go up slowly and fall slowly, there never seemed to be a correct combination to quickly clear the screen. Another planet is one where you have to make large launches to get anywhere - single collumn launches do nothing, 3 wide launches are not very good, etc.

Overall I do not think this has done well on the 360. Certainly no where as near the success that it has had on the DS, which is too bad. I definitely like the Florias theme better on the DS as the remixed version on the 360 just does not sound right to me. However the planet with the giggling children music was worth it for the sheer entertainment value of freaking out my dog. I think it is closer to being worth 200 points, but that is just me.
