Any word on whether or not the Nanman will be back in the series?

Cutting them was the biggest let-down of this game in my opinion.

30 Bucks, nice. The Empires Games are more deserving of the bigger price tag, too. We have been starved for Warriors games lately.. Aside from that Gundam game coming out.. Ick! [+o(]

The link posted earlier is for EU, not US. Appearently it is going to be $30 though, and it's supposed to come out June 16 in the US and June 26 in EU.

I'm checking some st uff out about it now.

Appearently the Nanman campaign makes  a comeback, and Meng Huo is on steroids.. I mean crap! O.O! One of his weapons is a freakin palm tree with coconuts on it, and another one is a HUGE mushroom! I bet Mario has some mushroom envy! WOW! I want to beat people upside the head with a mushroom now!

And most likely it will have co-op. There is no reason for Koei to take it out, since it has been a big draw for the last several Warriors games, especially Orochi

That tree and mushroom has to be fake or added in, however the first picture of him looks like a legit weapon.

This is from wiki:

"Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires has been officially announced by Koei. The features confirmed at this time include,

Edit Mode: Edit Mode is featured once again with the highest total of characters so far in all of the empires games. theres a grand total of 100 characters you may create in edit mode.

Meng Huo: Meng Huo, the Nanman leader has been confirmed to make a return in empires. His design has changed from an overweight character to a giant muscular one. He wields what appears to be a giant pillar. No other cut character has been confirmed to make an appearance as of yet. Little else has been confirmed so far by Koei as of yet for new content. Release Dates: June 16, 2009 (USA) May 29, 2009 (JPN)"

Although its not sourced. But based on what I have seen elsewhere, this is pretty reliable info so far.

No, the tree and mushroom are real and not fake. Those are official screenshots in the video.  So that would make Meng Huo's 3 weapons 1)Pillar 2)Tree 3) Giant Mushroom. I'm wondering which ones are which? I think the Pillar is probably his strength weapon, The tree is probably speed, and the mushroom is probably skill.

I know that some of the characters weapons will be changing,like in the PS2 version of DW6. Zhang He will have his claws back and I think Ling Tong has a 3 section staff, like Hideoshi from SW2, which I think suits him if he can't have his nunchucks. I don't have the PS2 version so I really don't know the other weapon changes, but I hear that all of those wep changes will be in the DW6E for 360.

I like the dynasty warriors series but it is not worth more than 30 bucks. They never really change anything, this game could be so much more than it is now. I checked out the link and it looks like the visuals got a lil boost. They could easily add co-op, they could add a versus mode for fun(I'm one faction and you're the other)

I get bored of them after a while, especially with the repetitiveness. I enjoy empires more because you can make your own fighter(whatever they call it) I'm just hoping they start to add on to the game if they are going to keep the same game engine(they've had it for how long?)

This game IS a new engine. They redid everything in this game. DW:6 Empires will be the same engine as 6, of course.

The engine will be the same as DW6. The weapons will not all be the same as DW6 for the 360, but they will all be the same as DW6 Special for the PS2. Meaning Taishi Ci gets his rods back!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I can't wait to get this game, first thing I'm gonna do is go to CaW, and make my version of Zhou Yu.  I can't believe Koei turn him into a cross-dresser with those thigh boots, it bug the crap outta me.  And I'm gonna give him his sword back as well.
