Sega GT 2002 / Jet set bundle disk from old xbox
Got a 360 today, found one title I had in the compatability list as the thread title, I loaded the disk and it said "update needed to play the game" and went and downloaded the emu update, rebooted and launched the disk to the menu and the when I select Sega Gt 2002 it just says "game is not compatable yet"

So is it just not compatable with the bundle disc or is there something else I am missing ?
Pretty poor if you ask me if its not going to be compatable with bundle disc titles that are listed as working titles. :(

They probably assumed that all the games would be emulated on the 360.

Sega 2002 probably is not in charge of creating the emulaation and Microsoft wants you to play their games. like PGR2 and PGR3 and Forza(which is not perfect either with the emulation.

I'm not even gonna ask WHY someone wants to play old games on their next gen machine. But since this is the dillemma, unplug the 360 and plug in the old xbox, problem solved.

Simple answer not everyone has botomless pockets to buy every expensive 360 game for the sake of it, and currently there isnt enough 360 games around worth having so playing some of your old favourites to fill those gaps is a good thing, its also by the sounds of it the only thing the PS3 will have going for it, but even that could be enough to regain the lead.

Your solution is often unviable, like as above when a persons xbox has died, I guess you failed to read that, I suppose you think they should go out and buy an xbox one just to play what by the tone of your post is crap, or in my situation I really dont want to slide out a 50" HD screen, to plug in an old system, and theres no room for an old xbox to be in place permanently, as theres a YaMMy RXV630s, a PS2, a Media center PC, a cable box and an upscaling DVD player just doesnt leave a lot of room even on the stand I have which maximises the space under the screen, and having an extension lead going accross the room isnt the answer either, Mrs is fine about the birds nest behind the Tv but theres no way I would get away with one in front of it aswell. :D

Personally I think if your against Xb BC thats fine but theres threads for that, coming in and flaming people who have threads on specific games for issues you should leave alone, it wont get you anywhere except gaining a pile of hatred from the people you flame away at, still your choice maybe thats the situation you like to be in.

Re: Sega GT 2002 / Jet set bundle disk from old xbox

I decided to skip the question of why one would want to play  oldies on their new system because I just can't understand that. I then made a simple suggestion of just hookin up your old box if one is so  disappointed in BC.

How you concluded that I was flaming someone from that simply shows that you excel in other areas other than reading comprehension. However, you did answer why, at least you, long for oldies (games you can't find in the next gen selection). And finally, you stated why you don't wanna plug in the old box, lack of space. ( the old box was the size of a vcr, but not that big ). You also state that for some reason ( lazy or obese ), you can't maneuver a 50 in tv ( I have a 52 in.... they, also are not that big ) to connect the old box....Now that part really caused alarm on your overall knowledge...for 20-30 US dollars you should be able to get a splitter-box ( a little device that feeds directly to your tv, via component, rca, or s-video cables/ while it houses connections for up to 5 seperate devices simultaneously )...so this way you never have to go behind the tv, except to dust it once a month. You can pick one of these up at your nearest gizmo store.

Though I am rather ignorant on the whole BC issue, for future reference, D3monforc3, you should choose to be informative without being and obnoxious douch bag. Because as you can see, you alike are obviously ignorant on some things as well.

Well I do question the tone of your first post, as I found the statement insulting and in line with many others posts here regarding BC from those who dont care about it. I am sure anyone with an old xbox really does in general have the knowledge that owning a 360 doesnt mean they can no longer plug the old xbox in and use it, now please tell me how does that answer this threads Q ? The intitial Q was not about when or why cant bla bla get added to the BC list, I am not one of those bleaters crying becasue my favourite games arent on the list, its a plain and simple Q pertaining to a listed title which will not start if you have the bundled edition. You suggesting the obvious, which doesnt actually rectify the issue implies what you wanted to try to start in itself by making that statement, wether that assumption be correct or not your assumption is far worse by assuming or implying those who like BC and in particular when directed at my thread asking a fully legitimate Q, We know we can plug in an xbox one if we have one, we are not stupid. Now do you have a constructive answer ? if not slope of elsewhere.

Okay so, Sega GT 2002 boots now. And just recently Microsoft updated the backwards compatibility so that Jet Set Radio Future will function. However, is still doesn't run off of this disc. Does anyone know why that is?

Neither game boots for me from the bundle disk even now as I just tried, the disk is now shown as "Demos" in the dashboard and the disk still only boots to the games menu for me, try to run either sega gt2002 or jet set radio future from the disks menu and both come back with the same response, "This xbox game is not compatable, visit xbox.com/support as there maybe an update" and thats it.

Maybe the difference is regional and why some have segaGT 2002 running from this dual disk while I still cannot. PAL region for me.

D3mOnFOrc3. Firstly let me say Kudos regarding your response to Tsahtanis.  Tsahtanis... I have a 360 not an xbox. My children love JSRF and would like to play it. The purpose of BC is to allow them the opportunity. It's really that simple.  BTW... you misspelled douche.  Demon, my SegaGT runs fine but JSRF does not. Oddly, My SegaGT ran before this update so I find it odd that the SegaGT patch worked on the bundled pack but the JSRF did not.  As for why neither works for yours, I suspect that PAL is the issue. Hopefully all these issues will be resolved soon as, having searched for copies of the standalone JSRF, I find that used copies run exceedingly pricey.

I feel your pain Sad [:(]...try this http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardscompatibility.htm look for Download and Create a Disc: download this file...BackCompat_07-2007.zip (12+MB) unzip and burn to cdr/rw. Now boot your 360 with the disk in drive...it will update all BackCompat games.  It work for me (UK 360 console) Smile [:)]  I hope this helps.  No widescreen for JetSet Sad [:(] and no slow down in GT, that I have noticed anyway Smile [:)]

But now to my purpose; Anyone know why there isn't a JSRF forum?
