Hi all, i am just wondering what the new brothers in arms game is going to be called.
There is definatley going to be another one because it says at the end of the game.
Any details of it including the release and the theme would be welcome..

I think it might have something to do with snow. Maybe that battle of bastogne.

The next BIA game better be way better then HH thats for sure.

Yeh snow, so it will probably be in the winter. Maybe bastogne like in Band of brothers would be a good setting.

Also the dude above. This brothers in arms was a good game, just not the multiplayer. The single player is amazing and multiplayer is realy bad.

I never said it wasnt a good game. I just said it better be better then HH that's all.

I got a bad feeling about this... I think Gearbox might give up, I really hope they don't, but it seems likely. The ending of the campaign has nothing to do with it, it's all about the sales of the game, which were awful.

Sounds goood, and i think that the battle of Bastogne would be a
great game for BiA to be honest..

The past BiA game Hells Highway was terrific for single player, so
tactical it was unberlievale lol xD But the multiplayer let it down

yea the next game will definetally be about the 101st being surrounded in bastogne, it hinted it in the game when leggit talked about the snow. im hoping the new game will fix some of the current problems there were in the singleplayer (not that there were many and they werent big issues either), i also hope the game is even longer so its even more worth the money

The team based levels are great but the solo-hospital goosehunt was a load of poo.  I understand that they needed a new story and what not but that was just stupid in my opinion.

I completely agree mate.

Airborne X has a good point, but I think that if Gearbox really worked hard on the game and gave it a promising multiplayer that people would play it...

yea the solo mission in the hospital was just exhausting, it was like way too easy to do too considering you didnt have squad members that you needed to look out for. i didnt like the fact that baker went off on his own considering the fact that the game is based on teamwork and suppresive fire and flanking and baker's off walking around by himself. it almost gives it a feeling of playing the medal of honor series when all you do is fight by yourself

Definitly gonna be the battle of the bulge.

The 101st went from Holland directly to Bastogne-so I thought that was obvious with the snow reference, too. At first I was like hell yeah, but then I thought about it-how much fun would it really be getting the crap shelled out of you while holding down a foxhole! I don't see how they could make a squad assault game based on that. There was plenty of offensive action around Bastogne once Patton's forces arrived, but I'd hate to see them spin the game where Bastogne is down-played(although after playing as an infantryman under Col. Sink I now look forward to being a tanker under Patton!). That's where those guys spent the bulk of their time and really proved themselves. And BIA seems pretty concerned with historical acurracy, so I think this will be a tough one if they do decide to make it.

Most difinitely it's going to be about the Battle of the Bulge because a few months ago on the Gearboxity forums they made it clear it wont be about Market Garden again, wooo I cannot wait for Bastogne!

Yeah, this may be true. I appreciate the series but I am always onto some other game when these are out and only get them around the $20 - 30 range which is not good for Gearbox.

Was just thinking about how much I enjoyed the original 2 game today and stopped by the forum to see what's shaking.  Seeing this old thread revisited caught my attention.  I thought this series died in Holland.  So I did some snooping over at gearbox and found this link, maybe they're not done after all.  We'll see.

If they do bring back the series I hope they return to their roots.  Hells Highway reminded me of what happened to the original Ghost Recon series when they came out with Graw.  The originals just had a lot more choices when it came to your tactics for each level.  And in my opinion the enemy AI were a lot more fun to tangle with in the first two games.  I loved it when they would get a read on what you were up to and decide to flank ya.  Great fun.

You're right the original two did seem to be harder games. I think the change may have been to make it more "accessible" to more players. B

BTW, stopped by Best Buy today hoping to preorder Halo 3: ODST for the Sergeant Johnson preorder incentive(I know, so very late of me so they were out), but instead bought the collector's version of BIA: HH for $23.99(even though I already rented it last Friday for $8).  So for anyone reading this that does not have it yet, that is great deal as the regular edition can cost $19 - 30 and the collector's version started at $69.99.

thats a very good deal, i picked up a regular edition new off ebay for $14 but would have done the collectors version for that price...i really enjoyed the game and would like to see a new one come out

Actually on a post on one of the gaming blogs, a new Brothers In Arms should be coming sometime in the future. I'm hoping the success of Borderlands will help fund the development of a fourth BIA game.

I can only how awesome the SP would be for BIA 4 considering it'd probably be during the Battle of the Bulge, plus Hell's Highway was great!

Speaking of Borderlands, it would be a lot of fun to see some really good coop modes in a BiA game.  If they make another.

I loved the single player, Rockstar F-ed up the multiplayer BAD!
