Is the emulation on the Xbox 360 good enough to warrant buying this over the PS2 version?
Topic.  Basically, as almost any Xbox fan knows, the Xbox version of games is exponentially cheaper than the PS2 version when it comes to rare games, so I wanted to find out how the emulation of this game was.  Are there any major errors?  If not, please describe any noticeable glitches or oddities that might hinder the game.  This is important to me because I know Xbox 360 emulation can be dodgier than an '01 model in a used car lot.

I don't know if this reply is too late for you, but I've just had a chance to try a copy of Xbox FF2 on my 360 and so far I encountered 2 problems.

1. Sound seems to disappear altogether in "in-game cutscene". FYI there are 2 types of cutscenes -pre-rendered cinematic and in-game cinematic, the former is fine but the problem occurred in in-game cinematic.

2. Some strange shadow problem in B/W scene. In case you haven't played the game, some scenes in the game are filtered with B/W effect, and in those scenes, I found that my 360 renders the character's shadow incorrectly as it appeared as white circle.

However, these two flaw is not at all a game breaker for me, and I think you can still enjoy the game despite the problem.

As I have Ps2, and Xbox copies, I compared the game on 3 systems and I can say that the game on Ps2 looks like garbage, the Xbox is better, but Xbox 360 is the best as it upscaled the game to 720P making everying "A LOT" sharper.

After I played the game on 360 I can no longer go back to my Original Xbox, and let alone that Ps2.

I say... go for it.
