Koei is milking the Dynasty Warriors series. Koei makes just enought adjustments to the next game to satisfy the fans. I am disappointed with Koei's lack of effort to go all out on the series. Koei has so much potential to make a badass video game.

Koei have changed almost every aspect of the series (apart from the story line), like the weapons, horses, moves, renbu, the swimming aspect, climbing ladders, specials etc....... What more could they possibly do???

the never going to be online multi-player is what they could do but we all know that for some reason they just don't want to have it in their games.

I don't think that multi-player would work that well, it may work well in the empires games but unless it was co-op in the musou mode games I can't really see it being that good.

i think the only way for it to work is to like you said musou but like 4 - 5 people tops and then for like free play battles have 4 people both sides trying to well beat the level.

Not if they make the enemies scale up in difficulty when another player is added. If people run out and get overwhelmed when they're solo then they'll stick together.. Kinda forced team work but it's probably the only way to make it work.

I think it would be good if you had to hold on to a certain number of bases (like 70%) to win or maybe link a chain of bases to take the main camp like empires. Also maybe having three key bases and you would gain a certain amount of points by defending them would also be a good idea.

I don't like the idea of bases being required to win or a percentage. If I wanna beast through the army(with my coop buddies) I don't wanna be tied down by some lame outpost that my AI allies can't seem to handle.

keep your best person back and send the rest to fight is all i can say. i guess there isn't really any type of multiplayer that could easily fit into these types of games except for musou mode which i wouldn't mind. but actually i'd think like at least 4 vs. 4 team deathmatch, and 8 vs. 8 with soldier A.I. Capture the Flag would be 2 good things that i would like to see.

i'm the type of person that would easily settle for only C.T.F. gametypes, i mean i play that in Halo and CoD all flippin day most of the time.

Yes but as I said earlier people will just go straight for the leader, which will be well ummm............ sh!t.

Yeah but if they increase the difficulty for multiplayer then people can't run through the army and ignore the surrounding peons. Make it more realistic where you can't be a one man army, at least for online play.

so what yours saying is that we should totally take all of what makes a dynasty warriors game out. no one would buy it if it were like that.

look basically the only things that would ever work for dynasty warriors is:
1.) musou mode
2.) versus musou mode where 3 on one side 3 people on the other and for this the enemy general will need teamwork to kill off so it wouldn't be an easy victory, and each person would have 3 lives to try and win.
3.) 5 vs.5 battle mode  (like team slayer)
4.) 10 person rumble pit (like 1st person to 15 kills wins)
5.) capture the flag
6.) torch the camp ( each team goes for a single torch in the middle of the map and the person with the torch most make it to the enemy base and break down the door and take one step inside to set it on fire and there you are a win)




or how bout putting multiplayer in the stuff they have like rampage, speed, and others like that. and to have single person stats and team stats.

Hey I'm just putting ideas out there. I just want ANY online multiplayer. Of course I'd prefer it not be pointless or broken. Really we're all just talking here, no ones making any decisions based on what we say.

If they'd start by just enabling the game for online coop it'd be a good start.

yeah it'd be great i know. ya know a long time ago i heard someone say that they didn't want co-op because of cheating to get achievement crap. i don't know but i wouldn't care for achievements on it one bit.

Co-op is realistic to ask for, anything else i'm not sure.

all i know is that they are going to crack and give in to our demands sooner or later, i mean come on practically everyone who ever played the game or is a die hard fan of the series really wants it.

True but a lot of good games don't have multiplayer, off the top of my head oblivion, fallout 3 and bioshock don't.
It takes time to put it in and can reduce the quality of the single player if too much time is spent on the multi player aspect.

yeah, like Resident Evil was always a single player game until the 5th one was released.

i agree - you would think they will eventually do this on-line stuff - the WO2 had local v.s. - why they couldn't make that online-v.s., I can't figure.

something else that boggles my mind, KOEI has had an MMO in asia for ages - why they can't give us an on-line game experience with this specific franchise on the 360 is beyond me.

i suspect it is because these are just cash cows, they always do well enough for them even without online.  their primary market is asia and they don't seem to care so much about on-line game-play.
