..well..he doesn't have to...but it would be rad to see the CHAMPION of PAC-MAN show his skills at this game.

Ever since seeing the King of Kong, I really don't like Billy Mitchell. He's either a jerk in real life (hence me not liking him) or the film made him out to be a jerk. If it's the latter, I'm sorry.

The director of the movie did distort the truth a little, and construe a lot of the implied facts that were depicted.  Here read these posts from Walter Day, from the Twin Galaxies website.  I find his posts a very good read, and think it's important to see what really happened during that time; which the movie failed to portray.

He wouldn't be so amzing at C.E. due to the changing mazes. His most famous records are from games that stayed exactly the same each stage (Pac-Man Classic, Donkey Kong) so he probably simply abused that fact.

He did play C.E. at the Grand Finals in NYC and he did do well.  I don't know whether Pac-Man Classic, DK, etc. actually "stayed exactly the same each stage."  In layout, perhaps.  In difficulty, not necessarily.

As for the King of Kong, perhaps the best thing to do is to take it with as many grains of salt as one would with a typical Michael Moore piece.  There are some facts in the film, but they are spun a certain way to cast one in a certain light, and another in another light.
