With the putt preview, if you are aimed right at the hole but with too much power it hides it. It acts like it will go in the hole, so it doesn't draw the part after the ball skips over, which its going to do, but lets say you are just rimming out, it would draw it longer, because it knows it's not going in. If you look close, as the yellow predicted path of the ball fades out towards the end, it gets sort of "fuzzy" looking. If the part in front of the hole is too "solid" yellow, it's going to be long...
