Does this game make a profit?
Just wondering if Gripshift makes a profit. I love the game and it often feels like I'm the only person that knows about it and likes it. Even the I bought the game I feel like I owe more than my 800 points to the developers. I'll probably buy the expansion just to support them. Not really interested in the Snake mode though. Maybe it'd do better on XBLA if it was possible for Sidhe to make a level editor.

Gripshift was originally released on PSP, Xbox LIVE Arcade has been used to 'extend its life'

In regards to its profitability on PSP Sidhe Interactive Manging Director Mario Wynands commented:

Sales were okay. Enough not to leave an embarrassing pile of copies rotting in a warehouse. Enough to get the occasional royalty check.

While not an optimal outcome, we had achieved our initial goals – to create an original IP internally, bring it to market, and break even in the process. Indeed, given the title was profitable for all parties we had even surpassed our financial expectations.

I am very glad that Gripshift was a success.  I have it on 360, PS3 and PSP, and it's easily my favorite pick-up-and-play title ever.  I am really hoping for a sequel.  To the OP, if you are looking for a level editor, the PSP version has one along with downloadable levels from http://www.gripshiftgame.com

Downloadable levels on the PSP - that's awesome. But I'm too povo for PSP.
