My Idea on Rose and the Ending Spoilers

I think the sister is alive and safe and I have 2 ideas of who she is with, both changing the whole idea.

For one I think she is ether with Scythe, cause what the letter said if you picked the "Love" Ending, or she is with Jack of Blades from the first game.

Now hear me out.

If she is with Scythe or anyone else but jack, then this is attached to one idea I had why Theresa wanted the spire.

She wanted to use it to bring back Jack of Blades, the same way how Lucien wanted to bring back his family. Now why does she want to bring him back? It because she is related to him, notice the colors of the two characters:

Now some say that she is the hero's sister from the first game. I think that is wrong for two reasons
1. She would be dead if her brother died of old age
2. If you choice to be evil in the first game you through her into the dark abyss and killed her.
If you still think that then consider the bad ending of the lost chapters, You are Jack thats why she wants you back. But I still think that Theresa is not the sister from the first Fable.

Or if its my idea that Rose is with Jack then there are two other ideas.

1. Theresa and Jack are not related and she could or could not be the sister from the first game.
The reason why she wanted the spire is she knew when Rose was brought back to life Jack would tag along.

2. Theresa just wanted it as a home base cause Jack is already back. And the two are related.

Now I could be wrong but I thought most of it through so that's my idea.

Oh and if you still think that Theresa is the sister from Fable 1, then here is one more idea for you:

Theresa is the sister, but she forgot who she is, so growing up she read books and somehow got the idea that she is the sister of Jack of Blades, and that leads to the idea of using the spire to bring back Jack.

i dont know if i can agree with everything you said.
but im almost certain that lionhead used this fable to set up some crazy connection between all the fables.
Im also very certain that theresa is going to be evil when we see her again. it almost seems too obvious, but when something seems obvious its never right. so i dont really know

just gonna have to sit and wait. in my opinion the story in fable 1 was a lot better than fable 2, but hopefully fable 2 is just setting up for awesomeness in fable 3. kinda like the structure of any other trilogy.

For some reason I just don't think Theresa is bad, she would haven't given you the wish from the spire if she was, or sent the others on their way.Theresa could use the spire as an actual guild for the heros rather then the cave I guess. But, that's just me guessing. Plus, how would she have known you'd make that certain choice and end up bringing someone back?

I predict that Lionhead hasn't decided who is with Rose in the letter, if Rose is really alive, whether or not Theresa is your sister, or whether or not Theresa is bad. Instead, I predict that Lionhead is lurking in ever forum corner, every Fable II discussion thread, in order to look out for what people are predicting in order to make something entirely different up.

Oh, and Fable isn't going to be a trilogy. Lionhead has plans for three more.

lets look at the facts...

coincedence, i doubt it

and i think she had something to do with the first use of the spire, which is why shes still alive, plus i think she intends to use it this time to either revive the hero from fable 1 or just use it for her evil schemes

im hoping lionhead does something interesting with the ending of fable 2

I totally disagree.

I think Theresa is dead, is the head of the Shadow Court, and needed Lucien to build the Spire because she couldn't get it done herself. I think she wanted it for her own purposes and that they are not pure ones.   I think Rose is Hammer, and that Theresa separated both kids at the time of the gunshot because she would have needed both (as Lucien was reading a book saying 4 Heros could take him out ... Garth, Hammer ... Rose and Sparrow, per the activation of the Cullis Gate and bloodline story).    I think Theresa told both kids that the other was dead, to make sure they'd grow up with a desire to take Lucien down.   And she placed Rose with the monks, which is why Rose's letter described a kingly thin person in robes ... it was a child's take on what a monk would look like. Her 'father' was adoptive, not biological, IMO.   The only thing I'm unsure of is why Theresa wanted the Spire.

I was struck by the similarity between Theresa and Darth Traya (Sith Lord in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, The Sith Lords) Both were Teachers, or Mentors to the young hero only to show they had their own agendas.

I can't say I was surprised that Theresa had her own agenda. I've heard it said that no action is ever entirely selfless, and I would agree.   Even acts of love carry a benefit for the person doing them, if nothing more than the pleasure of having done a kindness for somebody.

All along, it stands to reason that there must have been some unstated motive for Theresa to want to be so involved in forming the Hero team as she had, aligning everyone and preparing them for the fight against Lucien's forces (and ultimately, Lucien).   I think in most such stories, the organizer, leader or guide has some reason for taking that role, whether it was something as simple as vengeance to something as complicated as acquisition of a prize, title, empowerment or rank of some sort.

I just would like very much to know WHY Theresa wanted the Spire.   I think the theory I'd read about her being the head of the Shadow Court, makes the most sense to me. She wouldn't have had the manpower at her command to have the Spire built, so Lucien played an important role there.   And gathering the Heroes with him as the target, enabled the Spire to be activated (I think?).   So even they were just a stepping stone.   But why ... for what purpose ....

Im gonna have to buy fable 1 and play it
can you buy it not on xbox live and it still will work?

i just hope the fable 3,4 and 5 are still on 360 i just got mine

one reason i thought that as well was the fact if u've ever seen the Ancients or imortals (movies games etc.) u'll see they have bad eyes have telpathy and otyher powers reserved only for those ancient immortal beings (hence y the last hero got greedy and wished for immortality and long life and were granted the abilities but at a terrible price). certainly hope we see Rose agian tho probablly while theresa's betraying you hehe

Actually, it's already been confirmed from the creators of the game that Theresa is the same Theresa from the original Fable.

I find it highly unlikely that she would be wanting to resurrect Jack of Blades, and find it far more logical that she would be wanting to either resurrect her brother and/or family from the first game, or she wants the Spire for an entirely different purpose.

I guess we'll need to wait for Fable III for some more insight.

I am never wrong. I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

ya fable 3 will reveal more about wat happend but to those who think a game that takes place between fable 1 and 2 arer idiots they tried that with the Acecombat series and it wasn't very good good but not very (4 out of 5 good) but ya andr then the final Fable will bring everything together and reveal the entire story, but don't get your hopes up over fable 3's story it will be a lot reavling more of the story but don't expect to know everything after the game is completed (meaning u guys who finish it rlly quickly it seems and get bored easily afterwards hehe)

ah Guys and Gals what we are doing here is pure speculation. Some great ideas. As its obvious I'm a Star Wars fan so I know that Prequels aren't always the best (cough, cough) but speculation is a wild a$$ guess, an exercise in speculation. We here are certainly not going to make the decisions for Lionshead.

SPOILER: For those of you who haven't played the first Fable (get the lost chapters instead of the original) you have a choice at the end of that game too. One leaves Theresa alive the other she either is struck down or is tossed into the void where the Sword of Aeons had been. So this leaves the door wide open for her return one way or the other.

I can see Fable 2 being resolved through several versions of DLC over the next year or so.. Now while it's only a wikia source about Theresa and Lionhead confirmation, that all makes sense and I believe that. The old hero eventually passed away is how the website and also older stories convey it and she could be wanting to use the tower to resurrect him.

My beliefs after playing through a few times though about Rose is just this, Rose is "Dead" granted the selection of family to live brings her back, we don't know if the choice we made brings her back or if possibly Scythe brought her back instead ahead of us at the Spire.... Now I quoted that term solely because there is several mentions of the Necromancer Scythe who it seems will be more in line to bring her back to life as a puppet to play against the hero. Scythe was a hero in Fable 1 and the the Lost Chapters but things could change and he turns to become evil. I really do not think that the Jack of Blades will be making a direct return, there might be a chance we see him in a weakened state or almost coming back but we as a hero stop the ceremony before it's complete.

Jack of Blades was a well played out villian but he's had his share and I don't think he should be brought back, otherwise this becomes the Xbox's version of Zelda where it's always link versus a version of Ganon in most of the illterations.

Thats true. KoTOR was sucha great game anyone hear news on the next one.

It would have been better if KoTOR could have been made with the graphic ability of Force Unleashed but that discussion I guess is for another thread. Still, I've noticed that most of our Hero's both on TV, Movie and Games are the Imperfect or Flawed Hero. Personally I really hate having a halo and butterflies floating over my hero's head.
