Only thing better than finding a great game is finding one cheap. I wasn't impressed with the demo so I passed on the game at release but I was bored yesterday so I swung by Gamestop and picked up Timeshift for twenty bucks. I'm so glad I did, I'm only a little ways into the game but man am I having fun. What a great game! It's like Halflife 2, Fear, Red Faction and Mace Griffith all rolled into one. Anyone still playing multiplayer?

the guns just feel right don't they? i actually had this game for a while now but only recently decided to play it, too bad the online isn't hopping. Still, this game is great.

i didn't know there were free saves....
i guess it would have made the game easier to beat on elite.
I feel the exact same way. The demo, outside of the timeshift features, looked like a "more of the same" shooter, nothing spectacular, so I passed on it. Picked it up a couple weekends ago for $24 and the more I play, the more I really like it. They were able to mvoe the timeshift ability past the gimmick level and allow you to use it in a wide variety of useful ways. There are some interesting, not-terribly-difficult puzzles as well.
The graphics are also surprisingly good. I don't recall the demo looking this good. Textures are great, and the atmosphere of the outside levels is very detailed. Almost too much though, because I keep expecting to be able to go to a table and knock it over, but barely anything is useable. I guess I expect too much.
The AI is smarter than most, though the stupid things they say bug me, like when they keep yelling at you to "stay there" or whatever. That doesn't seem realistic. They should just just up and shoot me.
I haven't played MP yet, but probably should try. But I knew this was one of those titles that people would give up on the MP quickly, so I bought this knowing full well that I wouldn't be going for 1000/1000. I would like to try it out though, so if anyone else is new to this and wants to play, add me with a msg that says "TimeShift".

I myself got this from eBay as it looked decent. I'm really enjoying it! It's like a mix between Blinx and Halo. At least those were the observations my girlfriend made and it seemed to fit.
