The disc won't even load...
I put the disc in...the screen goes black as if it's loading, and then five seconds later it kicks me back to the dashboard.  I tried to get the game to work 6-7 times, and every time, it did the same thing.  I called Xbox support, and he told me it might be a defective disc, which is a problem for me, as I bought it on closeout from my workplace for less than $7.00, and we don't have anymore of them left to exchange it for.  I mainly got this because it was cheaper for me to buy this than to download Outpost (whatever the name is), which is the only game I really want on the collection (I already have Geometry Wars).  Has anyone else had this problem?  Also, as mentioned in another thread, I also had the problem with it kicking me off Live every time, and in fact, once, when the "User is Online" and the "User is connected to Xbox Live" messages came on the screen, they were all glitchy, like all the letters in the message were all jammed together with no spaces in between, and strange characters for some of the letters.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, can you use downloadable expansions for these games, and if I already have Geometry Wars on my hard drive, can I re-achieve the achievements, as this is being played off of disc?

I'm sorry...I know it's not normal, but...I can't help it.

Re: The disc won't even load...

Not sure why your disc isn't working, try a disc cleaning kit or resurface the disc (you need to find the games in the Arcade list tho, nothing will "load" when you put the disc in)

yes, you can use expansions.

no, you can't re-achieve any of the 'cheevs

Did you check your arcade games list?  This disc does not load like other games, bringing you to any sort of menus or anything.  It merely adds games to your games list so you have to choose your game just like any other arcade game.  Removing the disc also removes the games from your list.

Well thanks for explaining that a year ago! It doesn't say anything in the instructions, I thought my disc was faulty.

I'm having the same issue. Will installing to the HD make the games show up?

once you put the disc in, the games should be available by going to your Games Library and then going into Arcade Games.

I'm such an idiot....It all makes sense now. I bought it a few weeks ago for $5 and took it back and exchanged it thinking my game disc was damaged. Tried it again today and found the same problem arose. Glad to find out that it was only something an idiot like me couldn't figure out...lol
