I know the games been out for a while now, but i still love it and although it gets extremely fustrating at times, the master league keeps pulling me back for another try. I never seem to get the transfers that i aim for in the master league because you start at level C and on top of that i am usually Spurs. Finally i seem to have a season that is going well and have somehow signed Lucio. I have never even got into the ML champions league before lol. Lets hear some master league stories.

I am Barcelona, half way into my 3rd season, but am unable to sign goalkeeper Diego from Almeria. I have ML difficulty on the easiest level and my team is ranked as S (super). I've been trying every transfer window to sign this guy (he improves very fast and becomes one of the the best gks).

Even when I offer 60,000 in cash they don't accept. Valdes + 40,000 and they don't accept. I really don't know what it'll take, they have never accepted an offer despite his % level being around 60 and Almeria's ranking being C AND the scout report saying his acquisition is likely.





On a side note, why can't there be a distinguish between classic unlockable players and 'normal' unlockable players, when selecting whether these should appear in the ML?

By this I mean: I want Veron, Ronaldo, Ayala, etc to appear as free agents, but not Gullit, Cruyff, Pele, etc! I have the unlockable players on, so I have signed Veron on a free transfer, but it annoys me that say Inter Milan signed Gullit...

Its very hit and miss on transfers. It might just be a case of the team not wanting to sell to a rival, or you could just save it and keep loading it up until he accepts. Not accepting 60,000 points though is a strange one.

Buying players from the same league teams is more difficult than buying them from a different league team.
And you have no chance of getting Messi from barcelona if you are playing as real madrid or getting Kaka from Milan if you are juventus or inter.

Damn, its like a season and a half later and they still won't budge an inch:

60,000 + Valdes
60,000 + Buffon
60,000 + Eto'o
60,000 + Messi

All rejected



Buffon is still the best gk around but he's degrading. Will have to wait another few seasons to try buying him when he's in his last year of contract. Damn this one transfer is so frustrating, I bet if I get him he'll play crap...

yeah they have made negotitiations very tough & actually unrealistic when you consider you get to S in popularity rating and still players won't join , even though you are a winning team etc.

Best to just pick up the Konami created players at the end of each season and build around them.

True it is ridiculous. If there is a new one this year master league should be completely re vamped otherwise i wont buy it. It has been the same for so long, Fifa at least change things around and listen to complaints. Its so boring and becomes fustrating that as a team ranked A you cant buy a player from rank C, even when you agree a fee and double his wages.
