Opinions?
Whats everyone think?

Cant say I'm a big fan. Found the controls pretty sticky and irritating.

Re: Opinions?
I loved the DS version and although the control system is probably the best they could have come up with it's far inferior. I don't know if it's due to the 360 controller itself but the speed balance is bad, the selection box doesn't move quick enough and the accuracy is a bit pants. It wouldn't have hurt too much to slow the game down a little to compensate.

Another big gripe is the accesories, what a load of kak! This seems to replace the brilliant unlockables system the original had whereby clearing meteos added them to your bank and you could use them to purchase new powerups, worlds, etc. This was the key reason to keep playing Meteos and they've gone and stripped it out.

On a more positive note I'm glad to see they haven't completely ripped it's guts out like they did with Lumines, but there's still a helluva lot less game than the original though I'm expecting an influx of extra bits at the awkward price of around 600pts which I'll have to overlook as at around 600pts (Lumines again) I can get a completely fresh experience by getting another game instead as it tends to be a more worthwhile endeavor !

I'll give it a 7/10 but that's being a little generous because the original was the most played game on my DS.

You can change those in the options.  I turned the speed all the way up and I love it.  LOVE it.

Re: Opinions?
I'm enjoying it but the controls are taking a lot of getting used to after the genius that was stylus control.  I think it's probably best to get used to using the right stick for moving up and down as I can't see button presses being fast enough for the harder levels.

But... enjoying the game, like the attack modes and it's still fun to play.  I am dissappointed by the seemingly total lack of peopl online though.  Midnight yesterday and the ranked leaderboard bottomed out at around 135 players!  WTF!?!?!

I played one ranked game last night with someone in Japan, and the netcode in this game is really bad.  If there's any lag (and if you're playing internationally, there will be), it slows your CURSOR.  The cursor should be its own process that has nothing to do with what's going on on the other end.  Our two three-minute rounds seemed to last forever.

For me this game, like Lumines is all about the single player leaderboards.

Having never played the DS version, I have to say, this game is difficult.

Have been playing puzzle games since the original Tetris back on Gameboy and PC and am fairly good at them.

But man, I get my butt kicked by the CPU on Meteos.

Still....its a darn fun game.

Actually may pick up the DS version because of this one.

Yeah I think it's going to be like that for me...  Far more meat in the single player.  The online is already looking as empty as R4 now!!!

Great game , does take a little getting used to after playing the DS version but the control system DOES work well with practice . Worth 800 points .

Re: Opinions?

When I first played the demo and tried the controls out I didn't like it at all. I decided to give the game a second chance and now I'm getting used to the controls. It's an ok game.
