Yeah, been playing couple hours and really i just want to slice those discs in to pieces.

If you want games with action, don't get this one.

first its a RPG its not supposed to actiony, how ever, i couldn't stand the game myself, the music just made the game tiring to play. and rather boring combat didn't help.

Interesting, Nai, 'cause I completely disagree. RPGs can have plenty of action, I think. The music is one of the best parts of this game for me, and the combat is a breath of fresh air as far as I'm concerned.

i was just talking about blue-dragon, its the only one that i dont like, i love LO, FF, SO and alot of others.

Gotta love the cheesy boss music in this game...awesome stuff. Almost as good as final fantasy 7 boss music

I bought this a few months ago in search of an "old school" RPG after playing so many of the modern ones, but haven't played it yet. I hope it's not too boring, though I can understand why someone might feel that way if it's way too old school.

"Playable" I grew to hate that little computer voice. not played blue dragon for a while now but when I did play it I played it night and day :)

good game, crazy boss music.

some games just aren't for some people.... Personally I LOVE this game I've beat it, and going on my second round... considering I had a problem with my first account.. :S

Yeah I can see where some people would think its boring and what not... but that is the beauty of it for me... I didn't much care for the music mind you, but as far as RPG's go... I lost my love for them for a while....  I got this game... needless to say .... I am now able to enjoy them once again, now RPG's are all I want to play...

Blue Dragon is a beautiful game... call me crazy , but That is my opinion entirely!

I'm not sure what it is about Blue Dragon but I really enjoyed it.  I loved the simplicit story and even though it was childish, I guess it's the fact that it kinda brings back memories of anime that I watched in the past.  The music actually was pure amazing in my mind.  I, um... have the soundtrack on my iPod.  Lol.

It's a good game, and the combat system is really terrific.  The problem with it is, unlikable characters and it's VERY easy.   It also gets off to a sloooow start.  The first 15 hours or so require some patience, and you will be rewarded later as the story opens up.  And the music is great in this game, wtf?

This was the first JRPG I could ever play for more than 15 minutes, and I ended up really enjoying all 3 discs worth, and near 60 hours.  To each their own I guess. I don't remember if the beginning was slow, but I do remember it gets really fun once you start adding classes and skills. I dunno, give it a couple more hours, then if you don't like it, slice it into pieces, sell it, or put it in the toaster oven.

This really is pretty different compared to shooters and probably more different than other rpg's altogether. it's a good change of pace though.

Hated it first time I played, but replayed recently and now on disc 3.  The most annoying thing is the searching for gold - there are just too many objects to click on, especially when going into a town continuously clicking on every object in every house is definitely snoozeville - that's the biggest thing that spoils the game IMO.  Wouldn't matter so much if there was lots of interesting stuff, but for anything good there are a 100 nothings and 10 golds.

When wild monsters attack u or whatnot, i think it takes too long to load for each fight and its ***, but thats my opinion lol.

Army of Two: The 40th Day
Lost Planet 2
MagnaCarta 2
Operation Flashpoint 2

3 discs??? I just recently bought this game used and i only got 2 discs.......... Goddamit.

This game is one of the best games I've ever played.  To boast, I've played a hellish list of games.  Blue Dragon is probably the single most underrated title in the 360 library.

I wholeheartedly agree. Blue Dragon is not only one of my favourite games for the 360 but it's also one of the best RPGs I've ever seen. It's a lot of fun and has great music, especially the boss battle music Wink [;)].
I have lots of ideas. Trouble is, most of them suck.

I thought I saw an option to turn that off in the settings somewhere.

The folks complaining about the music should keep in mind it's all from the same composer who did most of the Final Fantasy music throughout the series; it's not bad except for the boss music ("WAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! This is the beginning...").

I wouldn't say it's boring, so much as linear (at least so far; just at the big Jibral battle now). At least it's linear in a way that isn't painful, like Enchanted Arms. Stick out tongue [:P]

Both of Mistwalker's games so far are very linear for the most part, but once you get to the side-quests, you can have hours and hours of fun beasting beasties and exploring new dungeons.

Actually it was a bit slow in the beginning of the game. I'll admit it was fun and right now I'm doing the DLC dungeon but at the same time i haven't played the game since February. I'll get to it but I'm in to rush

The voice can be turned off... But I hated this game. I am a huge fan of RPG's and they're my favourite type of game. But I just couldn't play this. I got about 6 hours in and just gave up. I got so bored. And I also like getting achievements and I hated this game for making them all so difficult. Now my achievements are stained by this "10/1000 Blue Dragon" (as well as 15/1000 for Final Fantasy XI) :(

You're right. They tend to be sick, or at the doctor's office for something. Patience will be helpful though, because Blue Dragon grows to be a very nice JRPG, if JRPGs are your thing.
