Hey I heard that they are going to introduce online play through an update soon, does that have any truth behind it?

There is zero official, and not even any evidence from any reputable source that this is going to be implemented. This does not mean it will never happen, but with SC4 doing so well, and the online on that being so tight (eg lag free if you join 4 or 5 bar games etc), my personal opinion is that they wont do this.

Why would you wanna play SC online when you can play SC4 online?

I dunno about that.

2 is the best but i still think 4 and even 3 offer a lot more option and gameplay wise than 1. Of course i'll take 2's versus anyday because they didnt majorly change anything they just added tons of new combat stances and moves, characters.

SC3 and 4 are trying to change the way they control to much..... Ivy's about as stiff as a 70 year old in SC4 but she plays like a dream in SC2....

Why coudnt they just add to SC2's system?

That's what I was wondering too, if this SC has an online mode & if it don't if there'll be a patch to rectify that issue.
