can someone "explain" this game to me?
I'm sure this game is brilliant but I just don't get it yet ... I bought the game today and went through all that I was able to of world 2 (got 7 out of 12 pictures) ... Is the deal that you do as much as you can and then at some point you get "powers" or items or something and go back?  I want to love this game like everyone else lol! :)

Nope, no "powers." You can solve every level by just using a bit of time manipulation.  Give it a try, but if you just don't get it on a certainly level, YouTube is littered with walkthrough videos to give you a hand.

what?

HAHA!  Yah, as s0u1 stated, no powers.  You need to really think about how to get some of the pieces in this game.  I bought the game last night and solved World 2.  It was quite an accomplishment IMO.  I'm looking forward to the rest of this game.

Re: can someone "explain" this game to me?
yeah i just bought this cause of the price drop and my god.............just wft am i supposed to do in some of these areas?

double jump would be key in world 1 first area.  Yeah i know i know you can do it with what they've already given you,  but there isn't sh** to jump on and if you rewind time you just move backward.

shouldn't have spent the money

Spoiler highlight to read:

on one of the boards in world one you cannot get two of the pieces without visiting one of the other boards in world one.

World 2 is the only world you have to go back and play a second time to get all the puzzle pieces. Not because you get special powers after completing it once, but because the puzzle pieces themselves will help you get the pieces you didn't get in the first run-through.

The rest of the puzzle pieces in the game, however, will simply require some major "thinking out of the box" to obtain, but you'll be able to get them immediately.

I just finished World 2 and I thought that part with the puzzle was just brilliant.  I had a "holy crap!" moment when I figured out that's how you solved the puzzle.

Absolutely loving this game.  It's cool to see the time manipulation integrated in to the game design so much that you absolutely have to use it to solve the puzzles as opposed to something added on that just makes beating the game easier (like Prince of Persia).

Haha, same here. I had no idea and then I went "wait a minute...". Haha, it was hilarious.

The ending really was quite something.  Very clever!!!

Dissapointed with Gears of War 2 Multiplayer. They ruined it!

That's the best about this game. It's a hard game, but it's not frustrating. I mean, General RAAM in Gears of War is frustrating, but Braid isn't, you just need to think until you have that "hey, wait a minute" thought everyone talked in this topic.
