I think it's awesome, however, it does take an hour or two to get the "feel" for it down. 

however, one tip I would suggest is that if you do play it, once you get past the first couple of classes, only upgrade the suspension to "level 2" - If you fully upgraded (level 3) on the small trucks thru the trophy trucks the truck tips over on any off camber or fast turn...    level 2 still works good and you don't have to worry about rolling it as much.

Still probably play online 2 to 3 times a month with 2 of my buddies, and it's always really, really fun.

Buy it, this is a fun game.  It takes time to get to the really fun part.  As for set up, Ive never had a problem with stage 3 suspension.  A lot of people have problems with it because they have no idea how to set the truck or buggy up.  Also along with setting it up each vehicle handles different.  Most of the time the most expensive vehicle in that class is the worste one to get.

This game is o.k. But if you don't have Forza 2 already, I'd say get that driving game first. It is just
an overall better game.

This game was a major disappointment for me. Single Player isn't much at all. There is no story not even a "Your a noobie racer, get to the top of the list." All you do is pick a type of car class and then pick a race. There also aren't any unique race modes either except for baja 500 and so. It is basicly Indy 500, but with trophy trucks. Your better off buying fuel.

I found the game for $20 at Kmart just the other day. I had rented it in the past so knew what to expect. It is a good game. Not a full on sim but has some sim elements so there is a bit of a learning curve. There is a zen to driving this game. A give and take between working the controls like a mad man and just letting go and trusting the line. The throttle is your best friend and your biggest enemy and you must learn that between all and nothing is winning.

It probably isn't for everyone but if you enjoy off road racing or the idea of it I would suggest putting some time into ths game. Once you get out of the stubborn first class cars you will really start to pick up a rythem that makes the gameplay intoxicating.

Here is a pretty good review on the game, although I don't agree so much about the graphics. I don't think it looks that bad and at 720p I am not seeing all the jaggies...although not paying much attention to rocks in the distance when Im flying over sand dunes at 90mph. I did turn the games gamma setting down a notch or two and that really helped the contrast. Overall I think it looks much better than Fuel.

I had low expectations and I was shocked to see how awesome it is.....the only complaint I have so far is the lack of FF with the MS wheel....you get a slight vibration on big jumps, that's it. Great game imho.....haven't tried Live yet.

Id rent it first. I rented this game and am currently giving it a go. It can be really frustrating because you are constantly swerving, bouncing and its really hard to find a good line. I havent gone too far into the tuning aspect so maybe that helps. If you can find it cheap id grab it,,but dont pay alot for it.

I just bought this game the other day for €24.99 . I also downloaded the demo for DIRT 2 and I have to say Baja doesn't really stack up to DIRT. I would say that Baja is really a rental and even though I don't see myself as a graphics w h o r e this game is as ugly as a plate of fried a$$
