Burnout 3 Tournament - March 8th - Rooms/Tracks/Details
Place: Burnout 3 Online
Game: Race (with takedowns optional/inevitable)
Date: Sunday 8th Mar - 18:00 EST / 23:00 UK

(Note, final roll-call is at 18:00 and racing begins thereafter, try to be there and in your Room at least 10 mins before so we can make sure everyone connects etc.) If you know you may be late, but will turn up let me know for certain asap or your slot may be filled at 18:00. You'll get 0's until you join.

Join the Tournament Chat Room at http://gabbly.com/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burnout_3 - It's a little chat that sits over any webpage and this really helped and worked well last time. People will be in there from before until after the tourney.

Since there are 2 not 3 rounds this time the tourney will be shorter and so the semi's have been extended to all 14 courses instead of 10 - Silverlake, Frozen Peak, Dockside and Golden City were missed out of round 2 last time. That way you'll race every circuit in both directions. (Room A needs a host with every track unlocked, Room B can have tigbits or me)

Final Scores (hosts give me rest of the scores and I confirm final positions)

The hosts (and everyone else is encouraged to) will keep track of the scores at the end of each race, so try not to hit the green button until the host says OK. 1st = 6 pts down to 6th = 1 pt. If there are less than 6 people in the room 1st still gets 6 points. A dead heat for time awards that position's score to both people (eg. 6, 5, 5, 3, 2, 1) Anyone timing out recieves 1 point (eg. 6, 5, 4, 1, 1, 1 - if three time out) unless they're disconnected as the race begins. If this happens everyone should retire immediately and let that person rejoin in the lobby to try again. If it happens twice to that person the race continues and they get 1 point for each race it happens in.

Please be courteous to the host and other racers if you have to leave/take a break mid-race. If you time out, move your car as far off the racing line as you can and warn people you're doing it. The host can take requests for a little extra time between races, if you need it just ask, or cycle your mic to the X (where no voice communication is possible). Hosts please say something like "10 seconds" when you're ready to launch to give fair warning.

Tiebreak Rules:
If 2 or more people finish on same points and it doesn't affect destination (eg 2nd & 3rd tie or 4th & 5th tie) it doesn't matter. Otherwise The most 1st places, 2nd places, 3rd places etc will be used. If they are still tied (and it's 2nd or 3rd round) then total points from all rounds count, then total 1st places etc. If they are STILL tied then a 2 lap race on Winter City Eastbound decides it, with everyone else apart from the host and the tied people leaving - the host should not move until they've raced away and then drive to a safe spot and time out. (The other room members should already know their next room before they leave.)

There will be a playoff room for the people that don't make the final so everyone can keep racing if they want to.

I have a little spreadsheet set up to keep track of scores as I get them, with running totals so it won't take long during the breaks to update me.

The day of the tourney all contact should go to Burnout3 Online, who is (or should be) on your friends list, or try that chat room if I'm on there http://gabbly.com/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burnout_3 - It would be great if most of us could use that during the racing.

North America just moved their clocks ahead 1 hour for Summertime, so that means instead of 11pm UK time it's starting at 10pm, Europe will also be an hour earlier until their clocks change.

Also a change to number 9 in Semi B
