I try to play the game and it just keeps saying:

''This game does not support PAL-50. Please change your display setting to PAL-60. To change your setting, in System, select Console Settings, Display.''

sounds like you got a game from another region of the world? I am assuming that you live in the states (which is NTSC) and the game is from possibly Europe (PAL). I would return it (if possible) and get another copy.
