im stuck on the promotion race on league 5.. any advise? im racing an RX-7 with a veilside widebodykit and i have the second engine upgrade, the first handling upgrade, and the second weight reduction upgrade.....but im having trouble winning the upgrade races...so i cant upgrade it anymore i need help on this.. any advice ??? am i using the wrong car?

a long time since i played the game but their is a muscle car you can purchase from the start and use all the way to league one (i think) I found all the upgrade challenges fairly easy with the muscle car. the tougher ones are those where you have to race driver X. on those you just have to get used to blocking him off. once you have all upgrade options the racers become easier. if you can get the prototype parts even better.

ok well.. i was able to complete the performance mod challenges without upgrading my car one bit. it is easy. u just need to be good at it. rx7 is a good car and i unlocked all the mods before i done it all up. and plz just coz i havent completed much achivements just try it out i am pro at this game. i have it on ps2 and psp and have completed offline mode.

   Unlocking all the performance parts before continuing with the races is important. I did this and just raced with the best car avaliable for the class using the parts unlocked.

Don't worry about unlocking any of the upgrade packages. You don't need them. The AI's will match your level of car... eg.. league 5 [56 vs 56] You can however go back after you unlock all of the mod packages in HIN and use a Prototype Skyline to unlock all of them with relative ease down to league 7 if you want to. Then use a Prototype Torino for the Rookie league if you choose to.
