Re: BEST DRIFT SCORE

David its not really that hard. two nights ago I got to  21 million thinking I would unlock the 50 million ahievement while the missus was away but frankly got tooooo bored to complete.

Get on snow widow in a high league RWD car and its just a case of chains and concentration.

think the records over .5 billion, not sure.

As Cornish said its not terribly difficult.  Boredom is your biggest enemy.  50 mill takes about 40 minutes. My advice would be to complete the offline game.  You will get plenty of practice at drifting and will need to pick up 3.5 mill on a number of tracks.

Once you can get 3 million on snow widow you could get 50 mill, its just getting you 3 mill 17 times in a row Smile [:)]

I found that I got a good drift going around the corners and kept it fairly straight down the straights breaking if required so I didn't get too fast and hit the walls at the end.  Just keep enough speed going to keep the slide going down the straight and make your points on the corner.

Another tip for 50 mill, when I had a nice controlled slide going around the corners I paused the game every 5-10 million points and took a break.  Otherwise my eyes started going funny and I got a bit reckless.  Watched TV for 10 minutes and continued.  Having the nice slide meant I could restart the game easily.  If my slide was a bit rough I would do another lap.

I have got 50 mill on snow widow in a RX 7 and 25 mill on battle royale in a muscle car - I forget which one.

Im playing it on pc and got over 20mill on battle royale I would have gone 4 50mill but paused it 2 have a bit of a break and when I unpaused it I slammed in2 a wall, I used the m3 (not GTR). If any 1 has it on pc u can check my scores out on the leader board I have got a 1st place and some top 3s and 5s on different tracks

I currently have reached 14 million in a Drift event in Italy - was using a Toyota Supra and hit a wall on a corner. I still have two more Tiers left, I plan to get the 50 Million Achievement soon - it is not that difficult - key is to continue to use the handbrake to force the car into corners and pressing the accelerator to keep the car controlled - not just keep it held down. Snow Widow looks like the place to get this Achievement - but Italy and United Kindom are two other courses which make this quite possible - but it required patience and concentration.

Highest Drift Score

Anchorman Mazda 09-07-2008, 3:21 PM
I have just attempted this Achievement and I have ended up with a drift score of 56,365,564 points. I attempted it on Snow Widow using a Mazda Rx-7. The car was tuned using Tier Three performance Parts for Tier 5 - complimented with a Veilside Wide Body Kit. I started at 12:38am and it was 1:12am when I had completed it all, so it is achievable in about half an hour. In order to achieve this, using the handbrake to initiate drifts and then using the accelerator and brake (feathering) to control the slides will allow you to complete it all with relative ease. In case anyone is still wondering, the track is located in Tier 5 - a Drift Endurance event.

Exciting isn't it. One finger pressing the 'A' button to control the handbrake, one finger to control the throttle, one to control the brake and the other moving the left-control stick from left to right - add in 40 minutes and you have yourself a party!

It doesn't need to take that long. I managed to get 50,054,*** in just under 30 mins.

Of course, I was just using a standard figure to show how tedious it can be. And drifting an oval track solo can get a little boring if you do not having anything else to listen to at the same time. Still, with careful drifting, you can rack up higher points in a shorter time given the positioning of your car.

I got a 20,000,000 point drift on battle royale, every lap is about 500,000 points, after going round just 10 times I felt like killing myself lol

Why do I suck at drifting events in this game?

I'm I using the wrong drifting car.

Noone sucks as long as you try your best. That's all that matters if you're happy with your score.
