Tony Hawk Video Games: 101

Tony Hawk games are not that difficult if you think about it.

There are four main buttons you want to know before you start playing.

  •   (A) - Simple "ollie"
    • Hold (A) to gain speed, like a racing game.
  •   (B) -  Grab
    • Go off a ramp or "ollie" then grab (B) and you will do the trick
  •   (X) - Flip trick
    • Press (X) and left/right/up/down after pressing (A) and you will do a flip trick
  •   (Y) - Grind
    • Jump directly at a rail and press (Y) along with L/R/U/D and you will do a type of grind.

If you want to learn how to manual, move the right stick up then down, or down then up, to do a [nose] manual. When you are in a grind/manual, a ring will pop up around you character. You want that bar to stay green to hold the grind/manual.

That is all you need to know because this game is made for 10 year olds.

Failed. Okay let's see you complete harbour hawkman sick or animal chin sick and say it's for 10 year olds. This game is for anyone. BTW, manual is left stick or dpad up down or reverse. Right stick moves the camera. Who's a clever boy.

If you believe it's that easy to play tony hawks you are sadly mistaken. There's not many people who can 1000 proving grounds / project 8. That must be for a reason. I mean surely if this game is so simplistic everybody could complete sick on everything... I mean just look at the statistics. You fail. You only have 300 GS on Project 8 yet you have 1000 on skate. Do you see where i'm coming from. I think the 10 year olds game is skate... come back when you can 1K P8 and I might be more persuaded towards your skatism.

Agreed, Project 8 Animal Chin...took me somewhere near 27 attempts until I finally got it.  Definitely a challenge.
