Ultra Fast Food

I bought Mad Tracks well over a year ago, and I remember playing it avidly for about a week getting those easy achievements and completing gold struggle and then hitting a brick wall with 'Ultra Fast Food'. I think I tried for about 3 days of around 2-3 hours of just runinng the track. I even found the now common jump to the left of the fan (Not that I was the first to discover it, simply that I found it by myself). I got 1:15:15 a year ago and after that I was so demolished from the time that I quit the game for awhile.

Then I came back last week to try it again for awhile. It culiminated with me playing it for over 5 hours last night getting times of the following: 1:15:23, 1:15:26, 1:15:35, 1:15:45, 1:16:00, and many more between 1:16:00 and 1:20:00. Breaking the 20 mark was easy, but 15 seemed impossible.

Then today I picked it up for a good hour or two and finally got it! I hit a decent time of 1:16:45 or so with very few boosts, and two attempts afterwards I finally got 1:13:98. Funny, the entire time I was trying to shave off less than 1 second and I end up getting it by OVER a second!

Even funnier, I had a really low- boost run. I think I maybe had only 6-7. What saved me was hitting the jump by the fan perfect, twice. I didn't ricochet into the checkpoint and have to 'Y' and immediately boost- that would have killed my boost count and I would have been about 1:20:00. I just found it extremely ironic how I finally beat it by over 1 second, with almost no boost!

In case anyone who is still really trying for this is wondering where my boost points were, I will try to list a quick paragraph explanation below (I wish I had video-taped it!):
From the start, I went down the hill and grabbed the power up in the middle and the one on the left. Then I swayed back to the center of the track, and lined myself up for the fan jump. Hitting it perfectly but losing a little speed, I used my first boost into the loop. I then used another boost on the loop, and missed the power-up at the bottom. I then did not use any boost until the big hill (clear glass bottom) and then the ice patch right after. I slowed down a little to grab the powerup right on top of the hill after the ice.

I boosted a little after hitting the big ramp, and swurved to the right to grab a powerup which was luckily a boost (Might have saved me). I then follow basically this same thing for the second lap, except I boosted where you would normally start the race and I was left with absolutely no boost after the ice patch. I was running around 1:05:00 around the big jump.

Maybe I am going a little crazy here. I'm just really excited I got this achievement, finally, after such a long time! Now I have to go get Hero to finally 200 / 200 this! I also want to check where 1:13:98 puts me on the leaderboards...I know only ~390 people have the achievement!

They did it again... Our next title is coming out in a few weeks (I hope) and we have yet another infamous achievement. Time to beat seem to be the biggest challenge, but we trust you guys :) Have fun! DenisDenis
