My friend and I got into a big debate on which fable is better, he argueed that Fable is better than Fable II. I like Fable II a lot more, the fighting style is better, how the controls are set up. But I would like your opinion, which is better Fable or Fable II?

IMO Fable 1 was a lot better.... maybe because I expected so much out of Fable 2. It was just a HUGE let down for me, I've beaten it once and still havent had the interest to go back and play again where as with the first one I went back several times.

but still some games that have a second one arent usually as good as the first on for me i liked the story of the first one espicially how at the end you got to pick the weapon but still i didnt like the choices in fable two at the end but still fable twoeven though the first one was better it did reach some of my expectations

I have never played fable 1 before. I personaly want too though but I really love and enjoy fable 2. A lot of people here say that Fable 2 is better but some say Fable 1. It's really a bias.

If you love Fable 2, then you'll probably love the first one also, may be disappointed b/c of how short it is. Good thing is that is backwards compatible and you can find cheap at most game stores or download it from the marketplace.

I completely agree. I actually didn't expect much from the first Fable, and when I found out what a great game it was, I was completely blown away. So, naturally, I expected Fable 2 to be even better, if not on the same level. But, as you were, I was really let down with Fable 2.

The one thing that I did like about Fable 2 was the appearance of that famous Oakvale Bridge. I wasn't even expecting it, and when I saw it, it brought back SO many good memories.

Only thing we can hope for is that Fable 3 will be better then Fable 2.

No final boss fight.. Need I say more?

Fable was so much better than Fable II. I can't believe the hype they made for Fable II, the game wasn't very good at all. I was so disappointed with Fable II, not even sure I will get Fable III with how big if a let down Fable II was.
