TimeShift Achievement Guide

There are 57 achievements worth 1250 points.

Flo the snucka and I have put a good amount of time into getting the achievements in TimeShift. After countless discussions over single player achievements, and countless sessions figuring out the fastest way to get the online achievements, this is what we've gathered to help you get through quickly. Or at least, faster than us.

Single Player Achievements

The following achievements are all awarded for completing levels in the Single Player campaign. If you are familiar with shooters, I recommend played through the campaign on Elite difficulty first, because they are stackable, and though the game is enjoyable the first time through, you probably won't want to drag yourself through a second time.

Alpha District - Casual (10 points)
Complete Act 1 "Alpha District" on Casual difficulty
The Stronghold - Casual (10 points)
Complete Act 2 "The Stronghold" on Casual difficulty
The Forgotten - Casual (10 points)
Complete Act 3 "The Forgotten" on Casual difficulty
Munitions Plant - Casual (10 points)

The following three achievements are awarded for completing a level without dying. Like the rest of the campaign achievements, they are stackable, so completing a level without dying on Elite will unlock all 3 achieves. As you may have guessed, the first level is by far the easiest to achieve this, but don't forget that you don't have any time powers so you are quite vulnerable. Remember to take cover and be aware of your surroundings and you should be fine.

Beginner's Luck (15 points)
Complete a level without dying on Casual difficulty
That Guy Is Swift (25 points)
Complete a level without dying on Skilled difficulty
Death-Proof (35 points)
Complete a level without dying on Elite difficulty

The rest of these achievements for single player are just a matter of doing certain things so many times. Piece of cake.

You're It (10 points)
Tag 15 enemies with Clutch Grenades

Clutch grenades are sticky grenades, so simply stick 10 guys to get this one. Don't forget about your time powers, as you barely even have to aim if the guys aren't moving.

Pickpocket (10 points)
Swipe 10 weapons out of enemy hands using Time Powers.

When you stop time next to an enemy, walk up to his gun and use X to snatch it from him. After 9 more clueless victims, you'll earn yourself 10 points.

All Fall Down (10 points)
Kill 3 enemies at one time during Time Stop.

There are plenty of opportunities to get this achievement, but one of the earliest is in Act 1, mission 2. There will be a point where you will drop down and witness a man's execution. Wait a second, then hit your time stop and first shoot the "executioner."� Quickly run by him, and there should be another guy that was running your way, and another guy or two in the next room. Just remember to shoot the guys enough to make sure they're dead when time starts again.

Look What I Can Do (5 points)
Walk on water using Time Powers

Don't worry about this one. It will unlock in the first 10-15 minutes of the game.

Disarmed! (15 points)
Shoot 5 weapons out of enemy hands

It's very likely that you'll get this without even knowing it when you start using your slo-mo. But for clarification, when in slow motion, you can knock the enemy's weapon clear out of his hands if you shoot it.

Get It Off Me! (5 points)
Remove a stuck Clutch Grenade using Time Powers

When you get stuck with a clutch grenade, reverse time to get it off.

Multiplayer Achievements
by Raider

Both these achievements can be obtained in player matches. To get these achievements fast you can host custom player matches and set the win limit to one. Also turning off the warm up time makes this go much quicker.

Play 100 multiplayer games
TimeShift Champion 50GP
Win 100 multiplayer games

Have It Your Way 10GP
Host and complete 10 games with custom presets

You will get this hosting custom games on the way to 100 games/wins.

MVP 20GP
Capture 25 flags in Capture the Flag

The best map for this is the warehouse map. Turn run speed up to make this quicker and easier.

Yoink! 20GP
Retrieve 50 flags in Capture the Flag

After you kill an opponent who is carrying your flag, walk into your flag to retrieve it. Repeat 50 times.

Are You Cheating? 20GP
Score 30 headshots with any weapon in multiplayer games.

Best weapon for this is the shotgun on the smaller maps like map 1.

Bullets Are Expensive 20GP
Kill 25 opponents with melee attacks in multiplayer games

Melees in timeshift are very brutal, turn damage up to instant kill to make this quick and very gory.

Berserker 30GP
Go on a Reaper Spree.

Get 30 kills without dieing in multiplayer, this can be done in a ranked and player match match.

Did I Do That? 30GP
Score a Fury Kill

To get this achievement you have to get 5 kills in 15 seconds. The best map for this is map 1. If you really want quick kills, create a custom game type and set the damage to instant kills.

Kill 50 opponents in Time Grenades or Time Fields

Kill 50 opponents who are inside time bubbles. Press LB to throw a time bubble.

Boy in the Bubble 30GP
Score 30 kills while trapped in a Time Grenade

Kill 30 opponents when you are stuck in a time field. Being stuck in a time bubble puts you at a major disadvantage. You move and attack slower. Even your bullets move slower. The easiest way to get this is if you trap you and your opponent in a time bubble putting him at the same disadvantage and he wont be expecting it. This also works on the is on your side achievement as you are killing an opponent who is in a bubble and you are getting a kill why you are in one as well.

Win a Ranked Deathmatch game by at least 5 kills

King Me! 25GP
Win a Ranked King of Time game by at least 5 kills

Not Even Close 25GP
Win a Ranked 1v1 game without dying once

Keep Away! 25GP
Win a Ranked Capture the Flag game without the other team capturing your flag

Win a Ranked Meltdown Madness game by at least 30 seconds.

Win a Ranked match on every map

Win a Ranked match in every game mode

Very Gracious 15GP
Host a dedicated server for 48 hours.

For this achievement you have to go to multiplayer, host a match and change the server option to dedicated. This does not have to be 48 hours straight. You can do it a few hours at a time. After each session, quit back to the menu.

DLC achievements
DLC pack 1 required:

Off. Off. Damned Clutch…
Reversed clutch grenade from yourself 3 times in multiplayer. 25g

When another player hits you with a clutch grenade, it will stick to you. You will know when this has happened as you will see electricity buzzing around you. To remove the grenade, throw a reverse time field at your feet. To arm a ‘reverse grenade’, press and hold LB then tap B. Tap LB to throw.

You need to reverse 3 grenades off yourself for the achievement to unlock; it can be done in as many matches as it takes.

Flag Snag!
Reversed your flag from enemy in multiplayer. 25g

When your opponent is carrying your flag, they will drop it if they come into contact with a reverse time field. Arm a reverse time field grenade press and hold LB then tap B. Tap LB to throw the grenade at the enemy if they have your flag and the achievement will unlock.

Master Miner--Crowned!
Got 25 kills using land or laser mines. 25g

Laser mines are easy to get kills with. The best map for them is MP2 where 2 mines can be found in the main room in the corner by a large door, 2 on the pipeline level with the door, and 2 on the upper level. To select the laser mines pick them up and use the D pad to select them. When you throw one down you will see a laser trip wire fire out of it. Any opponents who go too close to the mine and touch the laser will be killed. Do this 25 times and the achievement will unlock.

Regicide Rules!
Killed king 25 times. 25g

In the king of time mode gameplay, when you kill the king, you become the king. So when you kill the king and are then killed, kill the new king. Repeat 25 times.

DLC 1 Expert
Won ranked matches on every DLC 1 map. 25g

Must Be Ranked

You need to win in any game type, once on each map from the 1st download content pack.

The maps are:-

Red Laser District
Dust My Broom
SmokeStack Lightning
Jump, Jive, an' Wail
Beware, Brother, Beware!

The achievement will unlock after you have won on the last map

To get this achievement fast, host a match and set the kill limit to 1.

DLC 2 pack required:

Ride My Rockets!
Killed flying opponent with rocket launcher 11 times. 25g

This achievement isn’t as hard as it sounds, set up a custom match and set the type to low gravity with high jumps. Players who jump will have about 20 seconds of air time. Shoot them with the bloodhound rocket launcher when they are airborne. To make it even easier, play the ‘Blow me’ map where players are in the air for most of the game. The bloodhound can be used from spawn in a custom match of can be found on the middle level in a ranked match.

Jump of the year!
Used time powers or time fields to prevent falling damage 3 times.

When you see a height that you can fall off that might hurt you. Throw a time slow grenade where you are going to land and it will reduce the force of your impact.

To arm a ‘slow grenade’, press and hold LB then tap X. Tap LB to throw. A good map for this is tower of power. Use time grenades 3 times to slow your decent to prevent damage and this achievement will unlock. This can be done in as many games as needed.

Killed opponent using reverse grenade 3 times. 25g

This is a fun one and I had literally hundreds of kills using this method before this was even made an achievement. To get it when an opponent is firing at you, throw down a reverse time field and it will bounce there bullets right back at them. If you have instant kills on this will really aggravate them. To arm a ‘reverse grenade’, press and hold LB then tap B. Tap LB to throw.

You can't catch me!
Used time shield to escape time field 25 times. 25g

Easy, when a time field is thrown at you, hold LB and tap A to use a counter time field. Do this 25 times for the achievement.

DLC 2 Expert
Won ranked matches on every DLC 2 map. 25g

Must Be Ranked
You need to win in any game type once on each map from the 2nd download content pack.

Can I Kick It?
King Of The Ave
Don't Push Me
Bang Bang Boogie

The achievement will unlock after you have won on the last map

To get this achievement fast, host a match and set the kill limit to 1.
