seems to be a lot less online these days
When i first played this online the lobbys were packed! Even a couple of months ago I could take my pick of games with plenty of people playing 4/6 - 5/6 slots taken up. It was fun. But the last couple weeks there is about 6 people playing and most are in the U.S (im U.K) so i get a low ping and cannot connect. :-(

Yeah, I've noticed a drop in people. Usually weekends are a little more popular.

Depends what time of the day you play, but ya weekends are always packed full of people. Still not having any problem finding a game though.

Re: seems to be a lot less online these days
Definitely less people online than there used to be, but almost always a few games going...

It's nice to see a lot of people that were rather average or worse months back, have stuck with the game and really improved!!

Makes for some decent and in somes cases great competition!!

To those that are just starting out or fairing badly, practice, stick with the game and take constructive criticism... I often share tips and offer suggestions for areas of improvement to ppl that I see online regularly or that I see are sincere in trying to get better.

Most of the better players (definitely not all) are willing to give advice, as they'd rather lose or win a great game, than run over the competition... (gets boring real quick)

Try joining a room with a good player and ask them to take a look at how you play and ask for their feedback on how to improve. Until a better player analyzes your play, you more than likely don't realize what you need help with...

Once again... Vital's 2 Cents...

Most people probably stopped playing because they are getting annihilated.  I try and try and try and just get obliterated at this game.  I think I'm 2 and 105 at the moment.  You are right, we don't see what we are doing wrong, so please tell me.

As for most people, the main problems are Speed, not doing enough T-Spins and stopping the middle of a combo that could go for much more than just 3 lines in a row.

Other than that it's all about experience, i'v been playing this game for nearly 2 years so it's normal someone who's been playing for a few months gets annialated, i'v been there trust me :P

And like vital flap said, i'm enjoying a good game more than a winning all the time, and i hate seeing someone better than me leave the game hehe.

I agree, it's not all about winning for me either.  Obviously.  However, losing in under 20 secs got frustrating.  Luckily, I'm good enough now to last beyond 30 secs so I'm enjoying it.  Thanks for the tips :).

LOL... the only advice I can give you is to stop using female images for your gamerpic. Other than that you're good to go.

Anyways Roc, great playing with you a few weeks ago again, what's up with your mic? you got the Nug syndrome??

Dude, Vital i get ragged on that day by day!
Lol  I never heard of the Nug Syndrome before. I seem to only use my mic on COD4 especially when i have party chat on, but rarely use it on cause of people just annoying the hell out of me with making weird sounds or just adding rude comments. (Your rarely have yours up too, and even when you do, you don't talk! aha!)

Even though there have been a decrease of people as of late, there also have been new and great additions to the community. I met many cool and good players (ex. vaialofa) , and also a few people i can't stand (- > an emo skillet, just for example)

Also recently, it's been fun competing with fierer elf ( i think u spell it like that) with 40 line times each and every week.
