Distances

Anchorman Mazda 02-24-2008, 10:20 AM

Ensure that all milage is done in Career Mode. Distance travelled in Championships and Online will not go towards the Achievement. Similarly, you need to do the distance by either not quitting the race. That means, that any distance travelled (and then you restart or quit the race) will not count towards the total either.

Just continue to race in Career Mode and it should unlock soon enough.

Hi

sorry what is the easiest way to buy all the cars???

Re: Further Assistance

sneh2j00 03-03-2008, 11:54 PM
win the races and buy them... if you cant beat amatuer/pro-am/pro, just race rookie or clubman and get 3rd, then 2nd, then 1st place. doing it this way doesnt cause the winnings to drop. you get like 300k for first, 220k for 2nd and 150k for 3rd first up, but when you get first it halves the prize money for that race.

Gaining Money

Anchorman Mazda 03-05-2008, 11:25 AM

In order to purchase vehicles in the game you must win races.

The best strategy is to complete the game on the simplest difficulty. Once that is done, repeat the process with the second lowest difficulty and so forth.

As mention, winning at a particular level will significantly reduce your earnings for that race - for each difficulty setting lower than the one you beat it at.

What I am doing at the moment - is racing as many races as I can on Medium difficulty as I completed it the first time around on Easy. I recommend the Hill Climb events as they are simple to win as there is little turns which can destroy you win (apart from the odd sign and rock here and there).

Having the best car in each Race Type (look at Torque as an indicator) and if you feel confident in it - race in the next difficulty up from what you have done. Even placing second or third will give you money close to the winner's prize.

It simply takes time to complete this game.

(That is the most simplest method to earn money. If you cannot win races in the next difficulty level then stick to what you can and just remain persistant.)

Im having a little trouble with one, if I look in my stats it says I have driven 109.3miles but I have yet to get my achievement for it? Am I doing something wrong. Any ideas?

Milage

Anchorman Mazda 03-08-2008, 9:31 AM

All distances in regards to Milage are for Career Mode only.

The Statistics take into account all distance travelled in all game options.

Just continue to race - it will unlock soon enough.

"""CORR Super Buggy Veteran – 20 Gamerpoints:  Unlock this Achievement by placing first in all official CORR Super Buggy Veteran events in Career Mode. The final CORR Super Buggy event is located in Tier 9, titled “Lucas Oil CORR Buggy Series”."""

Btw, racing it now

That's on tier 8 that championship and there is no "corr super buggy" event in tier 9.

1 more bit of info to add to this great guide. the rally championship events, non carreer mode, add upto 360 miles approx. this should help with the mileage acheivements and stop you from just keeping racing till the acheivement pops up.Smile [:)]

Re: Ang. Re: Milage

Anchorman Mazda 05-25-2008, 1:52 AM

I hate to contradict the information you provide there Rick, but the milage which counts towards the respective Achievements can only come from races done in Career Mode.

I personally have gone through the trouble of doing both Championships and Career Races - knowing that they did not count towards the total.

Thank you though for the compliment - it is definately appreciated. Also, further contributions or questions are always welcome.

I understand. I apologise, there was a misunderstanding from your previous post -  a problem on my behalf.

Thank you for providing that extra information ... hopefully it can help those to see just how much they have left if they completed the Championships before getting the Milage Achievements.

thats helpful right there. i must be around 1250 miles total and even though I knew the Rally Championship Events didn't count towards the achievement, I was still skeptical if the achievement was bugged or if I just didn't race enough yet. Now I can keep doing that Pikes Peak Unlimited Full event which I love so much til I hit 1360mi.

Re: Ang. Re: Milage

Smugglin Plumz 02-21-2009, 7:28 AM

To the OP, a podium finish is when you finish either 1st, 2nd or 3rd. You do not need to necessarily win the event to unlock the First Podium achievement.  If that was the case that would make it the same as the First Victory achievement.

Re: Ang. Re: Milage

InkSlainTERR0R 04-21-2009, 8:29 PM
im working on buying all the cars right now its hard unless you race through all the tiers and finish the championship which i am working on as well, so all in all if you just complete the tiers you can unlock almost all of the achievements doing so. except the live achievements, and the mileage.

Re: Ang. Re: Milage

Anchorman Mazda 04-22-2009, 1:37 AM
Correct. Both the milage and car purchases Achievements will require quite a bit of driving once Career is complete. Do note, if you race properly (that is, don't just run up and down Pikes Peak), the earnings will help to get the cars - so in essence, killing two birds with one stone.

exactly, also you can try re racing on the different levels so from clubman to amature and up to gain more money on each course.
