I have come to the very frustrating realization that if you use the Xbox button to exit to the dashboard, you'll lose all of the extra credit you earned during that playing session.  This is the first day in a long time that actually I've had a chance to just sit down and play video games all day, so I thought I'd try to get a couple of achievements for this.  I managed to get the 30 stars and 70 stars and I was three away from them all when I decided to take a break and play something else.  All of my work is gone and I'm back down to about 22 stars or so.  This just made me hate the game a little bit.

With arcade games make sure you ALWAYS select the back to arcade button, otherwise you most likely will lose your save data which it warns you about when in the exit to dashboard pop-up.

Yeah, I know there's always a chance of losing your data that way, but I guess I thought the game had autosave.  I just kinda assumed that once I went back to the main menu, it would autosave my progress.  But I learned my lesson the hard way.  Oh well, that's all done and over with.

  OK so I was playing the game today when for some reason I'm signed out of XBL.  So I boot my profile up and start playing again.  Anyway I get an EXTRA CREDIT question. So I'm like cool, this makes around 75.  I answered the question right and when the star comes on the page all my other starts disappear.  I was like WTF?!?
  Now I didn’t get mad when the fricking game didn’t realize that I couldn’t free spell APPALATIAN MOUNTAINS (YES I know that’s not how you spell it) and I didn’t get mad when I left the "s" off of EXPORTS. But I’m really pissed off that I am robbed of soooo many hours of game play and the thought of having to listen to a mind numbing and untalented comedian's voice to earn 104 more is just mere torture.
  IF anyone knows how to recover my starts PLEASE let me know.  I would hate to have to play this game again over 104 more times.


P.S.- I always quit to the title and choose Return to Arcade.
