1. Introduction

1.1 About Me

My Gamer Tag is Major Rebirth, formerly known as The Reb1rth / Prothean.

I rewrite Achievement Guides so that they are correctly formatted for use on the Xbox Forums. Also I categorize the Achievements so that fellow Gamers can easily see what achievements there are for which. As a bonus I assign achievements in 3 categories: Gold (Only Gold Members can unlock these), Silver (Everyone can unlock these), and Red (No-one can unlock these).

1.2 Game Description

Amped 3, like snowboarding itself, isn’t just about the sport. Sure, it all starts with riding huge mountains, finding seams through the trees in hip-deep powder, and tricking your cheeks off … which is why there’s an all-new physics engine, perfected controls, and the most authentic riding experience at some the world’s greatest winter resorts.

The soul of snowboarding, however, is all about style. So, in Amped 3, there’s incredible customization, a fat helping of boarding culture, and huge snowboxes loaded with killer gameplay. With a new ParkBuilder, insane, bone-breaking sledding, and snowmobiles for exploring, you can be who you want, go where you want, and do what you want.

1.3 Game Features

  • Co-op Sledding: Survival crash mode while sledding. Hang on for your life and try and see how far you can make it down the hill before launching yourself into spectacular crashes that are scored based upon the anticipated medical bill.
  • Snowbox: The resorts are winter wonderland playgrounds now with lots of other stuff to do besides snowboard. Spend hours exploring and discovering new and secret places to test your skills.
  • Snowmobiles: Jump on a snowmobile for an entirely new mountain experience. Downhill or uphill it doesn’t matter—you can explore, trick and race anywhere.
  • Massive Mountains: Seven real resorts, three times larger than levels in Amped and Amped 2. These levels are truly living mountains, immersive with interesting character interaction, behaviors and object manipulation. You'll be able to traverse and explore these massive levels to discover a new definition of gameplay.
  • Backcountry: You're no longer limited to resort runs or terrain parks. Expansive and serene backcountry areas are now waiting to be explored. You’ll always get first tracks, while carving up the fresh powder and tricking off natural features.
  • Real-time Plantable Physics Objects: Players have the power to add and build anything from basic ramps to intricate structures that they can use to access new areas of the game, or simply set new hang-time records.
  • Surface Tricks: Who needs a jump or a rail to pull of a killer trick? If it’s covered with snow you can now surface trick it. Use these to chain together sick combos.
  • 300+ New Indie Music Tracks: Amped 3 offers up more fresh tracks to help you fully enjoy the powder experience.
  • Simple Controls: Simplified and easy to learn controls: Anyone on the first run can pull off big tricks, and play with all the mountain toys with a sense of satisfaction and enjoyment.
  • Online Leaderboards: Play Amped 3 on Xbox Live®, where every individual Snowbox challenge has its very own global leaderboard, allowing you to compare your best scores against the rest of the world.

1.4 Achievement Breakdown

There are 15 achievements worth 1000 points

There are 15 Silver achievements worth 1000 points

1.5 Additional Information

Estimated achievement difficulty: Slightly Challenging (6/10)

Estimated time for 100%: 10-15 hours

Minimum playthroughs: 1

Missable achievements: None

Glitched achievements: None

Cheats disable achievements: No Cheats

You'll be able to pick up most of the achievements in the first 8 hours except for lesser and supreme snow god. After you've finished playing through the game most of the achievements will require you to impress the required number of people per mountain and complete some easy miscellaneous goals.

2. Roadmap to 100%

2.1 Single Player

Step 1: Finish the story mode, ending with the achievement "Big Musical Finale!" This shouldn't be too hard as most of the events aren't too difficult, try enough times on the events and you should prevail at some point.

Step 2: Go through each mountain and impress the required number of bystanders on each. Simply charge up your stoke meter and then do some sweet moves around un-impressed people. The impressed people are cumulative so it'll just take some time.

Step 3: Finish any challenge you haven't already and start trying to get gold on all of them. If you're having trouble on a challenge just come back to it later and hope you've improved since then. You can check your stats to see which events you still haven't finished.

Step 4: Get onto your snowmobile and start traveling until you unlock the achievement "Snowmobiler Merit Badge" Simply drop off at the top of the mountain, get onto your snowmobile and then go all the way to the bottom, rinse and repeat.

Step 5: Get onto your favorite sled for crashing and take as much damage as you can until you unlock the achievement "Sledding Merit Badge" Again, spawn at the top and crash down to the bottom.

Step 6: Go into the editor mode and build as many cheap items as you can on each hill until you unlock the achievement "Park Designer Merit Badge"

Re: Achievement Guide 2.0

3. Achievements

3.1 Story

70 G - Snowbird bound!

Complete Act 1 of the storyline by completing storyline challenges and unlocking the Snowbird resort.

80 G - Vamonos a South America!

Complete Act 2 of the storyline by completing storyline challenges and unlocking Valle Nevado

90 G - Rescued Weiner Boy!

Complete Act 3 of the storyline by completing storyline challenges and rescuing Weiner Boy and unlocking the secret CAI area.

100 G - Reunited…and it feels so good!

Complete Act 4 of the storyline by completing storyline challenges and rescuing the rest of the crew.

100 G - Big Musical Finale!

Defeat the Baron in the final act of the game to receive this achievement.

3.2 Awesomeness Challenges

60 G - Northstar Nirvana

60 G - Snowbird Dawg

60 G - VIVA VALLE!

40 G - Laax Stock & Barrel

40 G - King of the Mountain Lab

260 G - Total

The aim here is to impress all the bystanders on the mountain. That means every area of the mountain.

Firstly, fill up your awesomeness meter by doing tricks down any part of the run. NOW you can impress the bystanders. They appear on your screen as either green or yellow icons. Green means that you have already impressed them, yellow mean they are there to be impressed.

Once you have filled up your meter, you can either continue where you are, or you can restart runs on that area, as you don't lose your awesomeness mode. That way, you can impress the bystanders that gather at the top. Just don't move areas as you will lose it and have to start all over again.

If after the trick you perform, they are impressed, the yellow icon you saw should turn to green.

You must try different runs and routes in order to impress them, as they are scattered all around the mountain.

If you are having problems finding them, go in to map mode, zoom in, and search for them.

If you are having problems impressing them, because of where they are situated. Simply go to construct mode and insert a ramp by them, build up the awesomeness meter again and trick off it.

3.3 Alternate Transportation

30 G - Sledding Merit Badge

This will come eventually as you progress through the game. Simple really, get over 1,000,000 points on the sled to receive it.

30 G - Snowmobiler Merit Badge

As the description says, travel over 10k on a snowmobile.

3.4 Construction Mode

30 G - Park Designer Merit Badge

Simple achievement, just go in to construct mode, choose the cheapest item and build as many of them as you can, and then delete and repeat. Keep continuing this method until you get the achievement.

3.5 Challenges & Media Callouts

70 G - Lesser Snow God

Time consuming achievement this. Simply get a medal, bronze, silver or gold for every challenge there is on all the mountains.

140 G - Supreme Snow God

Very consuming and annoying achievement at times. You must get a gold medal on every challenge on every mountain for this achievement.

Note: The Impress the Bystander challenges count towards this achievement, even the ones on mountains and locations where you do not get an achievement.

There are 240 challenges in all that need gold for this achievement.

This can take anyone, in the region of 10-15 hours depending on skill.

4. Tips & Tricks

4.1 Media Call Out Challenges

If you are struggling with grinding media call out challenges, go in to create mode, add an object you can grind to start it early, to achieve more points.

4.2 Kitty Cleanup

It is important on these to memorize the route if needs be. Simply follow the route and work out where and when you need to turn, jump, get a rail, etc. After a while, once you have worked out the route, you should pick these up.

4.3 Magic Circles

These in my opinion are the hardest ones to do. I firstly worked out the route and then when to leave the jumps/grinds and when to trick. Then I added in the moves. After a few attempts I got them.

4.4 Take Advantage of the Style Feature

You get significantly more points by holding the left analogue stick halfway instead of all the way in the middle of tricks and taking advantage of the style bonus, than you do attempting to spin round fifty times like a catherine wheel.

4.5 Beware

I have heard of people not receiving either the Lesser or Supreme Snow God achievements if they were to receive them at the same time. If needs be, leave one bronze till the end and go back and get gold on that.

Re: Achievement Guide 2.0
I was playing this piece of garbage tonight trying to get the Northstar Nirvana achievement. I impressed the 50/50 but still no achievement. If I don't get it in the next few minutes i'm going to break this p.o.s game into pieces and throw it in the garbage.

You need to impress the required amount of people in each area of the mountain in order for the achievement to unlock.

On Nirvana there are 3 areas - 2 which are availible through story mode / 1 by respect.
