i'll be posting updated pics of my set up soon, i've added a new receiver to the rack and put a tv in the bathroom. i was actually seeking some advice regarding speakers for the bathrrom tv. i want to place one in the shower so i can hear what's going on when i watch the news in the am.
heres a pic of the shower area
http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w84/flaco_nyc/HT/?action=view¤t=iphone238.jpgi would like to place the speaker to the left (in the picture) of the ceiling showerhead. i have a very powerful extractor fan mounted just outside the shower on a motion sensor which keeps moisture from accumulating on the tv. however, it won't work with the speaker as the moisture stays mostly trapped behind the shower doors. i definitely do NOT want one of those surface mount outdoor speakers, only an inceiling. does moisture affect speakers? i mean, if i seal the drywall opening with silicone and only the speaker cone is exposed, i'm guessing that over time water will degrade the material. but anyone know for sure? does anyone know of a "waterproof" speaker that can go inceiling and sounds ok?
i also hope to get a new receiver for christmas with three zones. i plan on using one zone for the guestbath in the pic, one for the living and one for the baby's room. i already have surround in the master bedroom.
