Re: Bloc updated
Sorry about that. Here's the list of what's new/changed:

  • New option for "extreme particles". Just something fun we added.
  • We added blocks that now make a wave motion across the screen to make things a little more interesting.
  • Increased difficulty ramp-up on Gauntlet mode to make it more challenging.
  • If you've never played the game, the high scores now have new default values which are a bit more challenging to meet. (Alternatively you can delete your game save from within the Community Games folder which will cause the default high scores to be regenerated).
  • We tweaked some of the power up settings to try and make the co-op more fun for both players.
  • We also increased the firing speed when you have the hypershot powerup to make that a bit more fun.
  • And lastly we changed the player speed a little bit.

Mostly tweaks, but a couple new additions. It's a free re-download for those who have bought it. If you haven't bought it yet, perhaps these new changes will make it worth your 200 points. :-)

Re: Bloc updated
I wanted to add that the second point above (the wave motion) is only on some blocks and only occurs on the Challenging and Gauntlet difficulties; Casual players will not see those blocks.

That explains things ... I was starting to wonder if my version is buggy. :D

I've actually been waiting to see what kind of updates you'd do for Bloc. This seems pretty solid and I'm very happy you took at least one of my criticisms into consideration. That would be in regards to the wave block.

If you could ever get online in here, which still might be viable due to the nature of the design(your code overhead is very low), I could probably get my buddy to buy it. He has issues buying CGs that don't include online enabled features, something I've personally been fighting to become standard in CGs. I think he'd actually enjoy this more than Schizoid, which I semi-forced him to get.

Per usual though I submit online features as wishlist stuff rather than request, and hope at some point these become more standard than rare. I think you can see what I mean if you use the filter on your site and see how few games come up when you use the Online Multiplayer filter. You're doing an awesome job in the CGs along with Zmaniac, so I hope your game sells well and you can make a return on all the time you've dedicated to the Community.

Long Live Indy Games ! I Support Microsoft because they support Indy ! Community Games = Indy Games !
