I was thinking about buying this game for cheap but I see that the servers aren't working properly. So is it worth it or not

Its worth buying. Online play is great when the servers work, and single player mode is rather good too.

i wouldn't by it till the servers are back up (if they ever will be). look at some videos of the single player and see if you like it. if you're into that kinda thing i suppose it might be okay.

In any event, I was able to find a deal on Amazon where I bought a "Used-Like New" copy for $11.00 w/shipping. Weird thing is that Amazon is selling it for like $48 brand new...and this game is considered "old".

Anyway, let's see how it goes if you get it. So far, the hardcore BF players on these forums think it's one of the greatest things since an egg white omelette

Well I have BF:BC....honestly dude? I only bought it as "filler" until the next good game came out. What was a darkhorse special for me, turned out to be one of my favorite games. I took a shot at getting BF:MC2, only because I'm waiting on something promising like BF:BC2, Modern Warfare 2, and Operation Flashpoint.

Although BF 1943 is en route shortly, so I see your point. But for $11.00? Why not right?

It's not that their are few games available. That was the case a month ago and I would've definitely recommend it. But now, the only way to find games is join someones session and wait in the line of 7 people only to find the game has been lagged out by the time you get in.

What I find funny is the fact that if you go to gamestop, Battlefield 2:MC(used) is 3$ less than Battlefield:BC(new).  That should tell you something about a 4 year? old game compared to the newer one.

KenEh, but that's Gamestop. Those chump monkeys are under fire right now for pulling shenanigans on consumers. That's just straight sorry they think they could pull the wool over the eyes of some. -$3.00 of a new one? Real slick there Gamestop. Hence I bought my copy off of Amazon.

EA they dont answer any questions or emails so there goes your support for the game.
Example people are asking for a straight up answers to  the following questions 1. Are the servers down. 2. Is EA shutting down the servers. and they cant even give you a honest answer.
EA Games should have farmed it out instead to sombody else. But no they rather get a bad reputation and lose customers.

This game is of course a must buy because the first one was awesome.

I would. The Campaign is still fantastic. Much better than Bad Company's. And there's always the slim chance the servers will be back. *fingers crossed*
