Ties aren't calculated correctly

I'm surprised I haven't seen much discussion about this here. Maybe the disconnecting glitches are more important, but that's not an issue I've come across. What I have found, though, is this:

Let's say I'm in a pot with another player. I have K-Q, both diamonds. He has K-10, both spades. In the community are: K clubs, 3 clubs, A clubs, 2 hearts, 6 hearts.

In regular poker, in my experience, this would be a split pot. We each have a pair of Kings with an Ace kicker. However, in Texas Hold'em Arcade, I would win the pot outright, because the game ignores the community and takes the kicker from our hands instead - or perhaps, sees my hand as A-K-K-Q-6 and him as A-K-K-10-6 and gives it to me because I have a higher average.

Is this intended behaviour? Is this just a different ruleset than I'm used to playing with?

In Texas Holdem it is the best 5 card hand that wins from the 7 cards available, so your supposition that the A-K-K-Q-6 combination is winning is correct.
