if you quickly downloaded this game for 800 thinking, great game for only 800 points, then SURPRISE! you only get the first 1/2 of the game. the second half will cost you another 400 points.

when you finish 1+2 you can download the 3+4 missions for 400 points....
seems a little underhanded to me.....

thoughts? (before ms locks this? which i am sure they will....)

Are you serious?  That is truly ridiculous.  These developers (or Microsoft) should be truly ashamed of themselves.  Why would they do this?

This is so stupid.  I've been so excited for this game since I heard about it, now I'm seriously not going to buy it.  You don't charge for 2 halves of a game, then annouce the "full game" for 800.  I'm fu##ing pissed off.  I hope I like Space Invaders becaues I was basically set on picking somethign up today.

The Developers REALLY have balls for doing that. I would expect of them to release the game with two episodes and "release" another two as an DLC two weeks later like Konami does with it's games (Costumes for "Street Fighter IV" (which should be unlockables) and Versus Mode for "Resident Evil 5").

I hope noone buys that game or else that rip-off will continue. I am shocked how obvious the rip-off is. They don't even bother to make us believe that the "extra content" was any extra work for them or worth the money it costs. I bet the next games will have only a few levels and to be able to finish the games you have to purches items like keys or the final boss level as an DLC. I hate those greedy jerks.

I really thought this'd be a great deal. I was close to buy it. I am lucky that I discovered this thread here. We will never see any games worth it's money again. At least Peggle was good.

I don't have a problem with them charging for the extra 2 stages.  It almost has 2 levels of demoes.  The free demo that lets you try it and a $10 "demo" that lets you play half the game.  Then you pay another $5 to play the rest.  It is a $20 game on the Nintendo DS.  So, it is still cheaper than that. 

The problem I do have is not announcing this is how it works.  I saw the 2 locked stages and figured it just meant I needed to finish the first 2 before I could play them.  When I finally figured out the 2 stages were DLC, I was pretty annoyed.  I checked, but did not see it available.  Now I found out it is available, but only after playing the first 2 stages.

It really stinks of them trying to hide the fact that the full game is $15.  Why isn't MS just honest with us??  They know how this kind of thing pisses people off.  Is Space Invaders the same way??

That is annoying to charge for the levels 3 & 4 like that.
Plus I was not really impressed with the game overall anyway.

Another soul saved. Thanks for the heads up. To be fair it looked like a quick job on the game anyhow when you compare it to Space Invaders. I've just picked up some more points but it looks like I'm going to only be using them on old games I can trust.

EDIT: Just to add that if anybody needs proof of their underhanded doings then check out the game detail pages which doesn't list this 2nd half of the game you have to pay for at all as DLC or anything and it does clearly state FULL GAME. I just feel sorry for the people duped into it who have never ventured here to check. (Something I always have to do now.)

Support the indies, get dishwasher. Not only is it not made by a greedy corporation, it's GOTY for me (so far).

I don't even think its worth 800 points. Theres plenty of the same type game in community games for 200 points. This should only be 400 points for the FULL game.

I am not outraged by the episode content.  I used to love Arkanoid on the Nintendo with the Arkanoid controller. While this remake is nice.  Its a bit different. Some of the levels seem to play out forever.  I actually had a lot of fun in multiplayer.  I think arkanoid for me as a brick breaker has lost its appeal.  Maybe its just playing it on a controller.  But, for 800 points its not bad.  You get 62 levels of game play.  Thats more than any arkanoid had to offer, even if most if not all the levels are from the 1st one and maybe DOH?

just out of curiosity..do you actually get the 62 levels or just 31 and then you have to download the other 31 for more points?
this stinks because now i cant trust that "full game" means full game...because apparently it doesnt anymore, this was a really bad move by ms to do, because now i dont feel like i can trust that the game content is listed correctly. i like to know that when i buy a full game that i am getting just that and i cant assume that anymore, this borders on false advertising.....

I am not entirely sure what the hell M$ is trying to pull with this one. Not giving you the entire game once you pay for it is misleading and false advertising.
Thankfully, I own Arkanoid 2000 and Arkanoid 2000 R on the PS1. Hell, I even have Arkanoid Doh! it Again on the SNES and Arkanoid on MAME. Why would I want to waste 1200 points on this when it should be a 400 point game at the most (and complete)?
I will not be participating and precipitating in this fleecing event. M$ can tap those unsuspecting XBL members and revel in knowing they ripped off loyal customers.
Way to go, M$! You proved you will do anything to get more $$$ out of people at any cost. Bravo!

If this is true I guarantee I will NOT be buying this game and not supporting this clearly deceptive practice. Shame on any one who buys this product knowing they are getting scammed.

ok.......i can no longer comment on this subject, or at least i am removing myself from it.
i got called in to work today and got back around 9pm....and my wife had been playing the 360 and had downloaded arkanoid! thats bad enough but she used the last points i had that i was saving for the fable2 dlc this tuesday.

i am gonna go curl up in a fetal ball and cry for awhile.......

Here we have YET ANOTHER prime example of Microsoft *** us consumers over, in the hard hits times. 1200 msp is a dispicable price for this game, honestly after playing the demo this should have been set at 400 msp for the FULL produced.  Abyone in the community section could have made a remake of this. it annoying that M$ is just intent on ripping us off, not only that they think we are completly stupid, that we wouldn't realise that they have split the package.  I'm going to use the remaing points i have left and not bother with the arcade until M4 see some sense and not rip us off.

I don't see a problem with this. You pay 800 points for episodes 1 and 2. Episodes 3 and 4 are extra content. Episodes 1 and 2 are the full game. Episodes 3 and 4 are extra. No scam. If you don't want to spend 1200 points, then don't buy the extra content.

When I bought this last night, I didn't know it had DLC. The DLC is just a nice bonus if I decide I want to pay for it.
