A couple months ago after unlocking everything in Dead or Alive 4, my roomate and I booted up our Xbox to find that the gamesave had been corrupted and all of our progress was lost. After searching the internet Ive found this is a known issue with no fix.

Because I love DOA4 so much I went through the long process of unlocking it all again thinking I could copy my gamesave on to a memory card for safe keeping if the one on my Xbox happened to become corrupted again. I found out last night the Xbox wont allow you to copy your gamesave (at least for DOA) does anyone have advice as to how I could back it up?

To expand on what AKSION wrote.   What is possible is that you may have a "ghost" copy of your save file which is confusing your machine.  If that's the case simply go to where your save file is kept & delete the copy, restart the 360 & when it asks you to designate a save spot go to where you normally keep the save & viola your stuff is back.   Also where do you keep your save files?  The older HDDs had a nasty habit of eating saves, after it happened twice to a friend he nearly threw his 360 out the window.  I told him to shove his saves to an MU & there've been no issues since.

NEVER press the guide button or turn the xbox off if a "now saving" appears in the lower richt corner of the screen.

If you do this, your DOA4 savegame can not be found at the next start or the game overwrites the save.

so ur sayaing if you boot the game and it asks where u want a save file all ur progress is lost?
if its so how the hell did i get it 0.0 i just made some achievements to day and last was unlocking tnegu and im sure i didnt do anthing. even played a lil with tengu. and now when i boothed the game it asked where i want a save file 0.0 os i did and yay all unlocks lost -_-

Mine did the same thing today. It could be a hiccup or a sudden sign out and in.
