Generalization:

Soul Calibur 4 has quite a few conventions and acronyms, and for the uninitiated, they can be overwhelming. Take a look at the diagram below of the unique 8-way run system modeled after the number pad on a keyboard. For more information on notation and key terms, read the Calibur forums for a detailed list of the many acronyms and conventions and techniques used in the Soul Calibur community.

Soul Calibur 4 uses four inputs for guarding and attacking:

A: Horizontal Attack - A high attack hitting standing opponents, but misses on crouching opponents.

B: Vertical Attack - A mid attack hitting standing or crouching opponents, but is avoided by side stepping in either direction.

K: Kick Attack - Varies from character to character, and may have either properties of A or B moves

G: Guard - Blocks a character's attack

A +  G  and  B + G initiates a throw (a plus sign means to press the buttons and/or directional inputs simultaneously).
G + K executes a taunt at the opponent.

Other button combinations will result in different moves for each character, so be sure to study your move lists and figure out which moves works best for you.

New Mechanics

Armor Break
Armor is separated into three sections: upper, middle, and low. To break a piece of armor, repeatedly hit the section until the armor breaks off to the floor. High attacks break upper armor; mid attacks, middle armor; and low attacks, lower armor. And after the armor breaks, damage done to the section without armor increases by 10 percent.

Soul Gauge
Each character has an orb titled the Soul Gauge next to their HP Gauge. The status of the Soul Gauge is indicated by a color: blue represents a full Soul Gauge, while red represents a fully depleted Soul Gauge. When guarding an attack or being Guard Impacted, your Soul Gauge turns from blue to red, and flashes red when the gauge is less than five percent. Over time, the Soul Gauge gradually recovers, but will not recover automatically when the gauge is flashing red.

Factors increasing your Soul Gauge

    * Your attacks hit an opponent, guarded or unguarded.

Factors decreasing your Soul Gauge

    * The opponent GI's your attack
    * You block an opponent's strong attack

Note: the status of the Soul Gauge carriers over to the next round, though with a slight increase.

Soul Crush and Critical Finish
Guarding against strong attacks or being Guard Impact by the opponent will put you at a disadvantage called Soul Crush, a conditional status when the Soul Gauge is fully depleted. During a Soul Crush, the opponent can execute a Critical Finish, an instant kill, by pressing four buttons (A+B+K+G).  A Critical Finish ends the battle in a single attack.

Requirements for a Critical Finish

    * One of three armor types (upper, middle, or low) must be broken
    * Opponent must be Soul Crushed

Key Terms
The Soul Calibur community uses many terms, but we'll list the most common notations:

(SW) = Southwest

AC: Air Control

An opponent can launch you in the air, and perform multiple hits before you land.  While you're in the air, you can change the direction of your fall, avoiding many devastating air combos. To air control, hold and commit to a directional input after being launched in the air.

CH: Counter Hit

A counter hit happens in two circumstances.  If you're attacked while trying to initiate an attack, the enemy’s move will not only inflict more damage than normal, but may stun, launch, or knock you away.  And a counter hit may happen if you're back-dashing.  You can identify a counter hit by looking at the character animation: a normal hit flashes yellow, and a counter hit flashes red.

FC: From Crouching
A specific move can only be done from a crouching position.

Frame Trap

Frame advantage is when an offensive attack is blocked and the attacker has an advantage over the defender's next move. Frame advantages are usually associated to quick moves that recover quickly. By using a move that recovers quickly, the attacker can recovers faster than the defender, because the defender will be in the block stun, while the attacker has fully recovered from the attack. Therefore, the attacker has the absolute initiative, placing them at a very advantageous position to dominate the defender's next move.

Using the principles of frame advantage, frame trap is when the attacker hits first when executing a move of same speed as the opponent. The opponent's recovery time is a large factor in frame traps. Every move that hits or is blocked has recovery frames. Without recovery frames, the opponent could immediately counterattack and hit the attacker after the block. Also, certain moves will put the defender in a longer recovery, making the defender's next attack slower than it would be.

GI: Guard Impact
You can parry an opponent's attacks by pressing -> +  G  against mid and high attacks, or (SW) + G against mid and low attacks. And after a successful GI, you have a chance to hit the opponent without retaliation. But be careful: if the opponent is quick, he can Guard Impact the next attack.

A big change to Soul Calibur 4 is the new GI ( <- +  G  for mids and highs, (SW)  + G  for mids and lows) This GI knocks your opponent to the floor, forcing a great wakeup game. This is most effective when an opponent is near a wall on his right side, because a successful parry will send him into the wall, stunning him.  Follow up with a free combo!

Auto-GI: Automatic Guard Impact

You can tell if an opponent has an Auto-GI by looking at the bright purple glow during a move, such as Sophitia’s  <- K, or Mitsurugi’s B + K.  Seeing if they work against verticals, horizontals, highs or lows depends on a character’s move, so practice learning what works and when to use them, because moves with auto-GI may add good momentum to a character’s offensive ability.

Perfect GI

Instead of a typical Guard Impact (repel) with a green flash, your GI maybe accompanied by a red flash. A perfect GI is difficult to pull off, as it requires just-frame timing, but when successful, any attack during the GI window will yield a guaranteed counter-hit.

JF: Just Frame
A notation for inputting a command on the "next" frame of animation. A Just Frame can be difficult to pull off for certain characters, so the timing may require practice.  A successful Just Frame is accompanied by a flashing white light on the character.

Rolling (Ukemi)
When a player gets knocked to the ground, they have the option of rolling, useful in avoiding damage that would otherwise be dealt. A player can roll forwards, backwards, left, and right.

TC: Tech Crouch
A move attacking the opponent while evading the enemy's high attack. Some tech crouches are so good that they'll avoid some mid attack, such as Voldo's  (SW) B and Mitsu's (DOWN) K.

TJ: Tech Jump
Some special moves are jumping attacks, and will automatically avoid lows.

Tech Trap
A tech trap catches people rolling on the ground. Some tech traps will only hit when someone rolls, while other tech traps will hit grounded opponents.  Crouch throw is a move that can tech trap, but won't hit someone on the ground.  After certain knockdown hits like Astaroth’s <- B hold and Rock's FC -> K, a crouch throw can be used to hit anyone rolling.

UB: Unblockable
An unblockable attack can't be guarded, but is usually slow and easy to avoid, and may inflict little damage depending on the character.  You can't Guard Impact against an unblockable attack, unless executing a Perfect GI.

WR: While Rising
A WR move must be done in transition from crouching to standing position (letting go of guard while crouching, then quickly executing the command).

Break down of Arcade mode scoring system

Anyway, for those who can't get the Astaroth method to work, try using any character you're comfortable with and doing more unblockable attacks.

With Mitsurugi, every unblockable attack I land I get 1000, if I manage to charge it long enough and land a 2 hit unblockable combo, I get another 1500. So I can actually milk out 4000-1000 per round, 8000-20000 per battle.

For those that are still having trouble Here are some examples of a good run through.

Stage 1 (75200) [27 seconds, 2 Perfects, No blocking which means positive Soul Gauge]

Stage Clear Bonus - 2500
Health Bonus - 20000
Soul Gauge Bonus - 3500
Time Bonus - 6000
Perfect - 30000
Various Match Bonuses not displayed in Stage Result - 13200

Stage 7 (85250) [50 seconds, 1 Perfects, Blocking]

Stage Clear Bonus - 2500
Health Bonus - 18000
Soul Gauge Bonus - 3200
Time Bonus - 4000
Perfect - 15000
Consecutive win Bonus - 32000
Various Match Bonuses not displayed in Stage Result - 11550

The Consecutive win bonus really makes the difference in the end with a total of 127k. So assuming you never lose a round entirely (Losing a round and throwing the fight to retry will void all Consecutive win bonuses):

Stage 1 - No Consecutive Win Bonus
Stage 2 - 1000
Stage 3 - 2000
Stage 4 - 4000
Stage 5 - 8000
Stage 6 - 16000
Stage 7 - 32000
Stage 8 - 64000

Various bonuses:
Soul Gauge bonuses - 1500 to 3500
Time Bonus - 3000 to 8000
First Hit Bonus - 1000
Perfect - 15000
Health Bonus - 100 to 10000
"X" hit combo - Depends on damage and number
Unblockable attack - 1000
Wall hit - 1000
Last Attack - Depends on damage
Ukemi - 100
Impact - I don't know
Overkill - 100

Alternatively, You can throw a battle if you don't get a perfect without any point deductions. But if you do this, you will lose the consecutive win bonuses.

Tip: Use Astaroth's cheap combo by holding Down/Back and X, then hitting Y. If done right, he will wind up a low swing and knock your opponent down, then do a hard overhead swing. Repeat these two moves over and over and they shouldn't be able to even move.

CHARACTER CREATION:

In Soul Calibur IV you can edit existing characters or by highlighting the center icon on the character select screen (the one with two characters) create a new one from scratch. Naturally, if you edit an existing character you won't be able to edit their physical form other than hair style and clothing.

EDITING ORIGINAL CHARACTERS.

Go to character create, select the character you want. Where is says (Customized) press A (or X). Then choose 1P or 2P costume from the list, press A or X again. Press RIGHT on D-pad and you can now change colours. Including hair colours.

You can use an auto template for new characters by messing around with the following options.

Option 1 - Male or Female

Option 2 - Choose a fighting style from the normal characters

Option 3 - Choose Equipment trait (none/light armor/heavy armor/standard equipment)

Option 4 -Choose Battle trait (none/attack focus/defense focus/HP focus/maximum defense/maximum attack/maximum HP/concentrated skill type/dispersed skill type/HP focus)

Option 5 - Choose Alignment (none/good/evil)

Then you can Auto- Generate - you can then edit this character or change traits or generate again using same conditions.

Character Creation Options

You can tweak the follow areas of all characters although as mentioned already you won't be able to change certain attribute if you're editing an existing character.

-Change the entire equipment set in one go

-Change head equipment (headbands, masks, helmets etc)

-Change face equipment (glasses, masks etc)

-Change neck equipment (scarves ribbons etc)

-Change shoulder equipment (armor such as spaulders)

-Change undergarments (chain mail, leggings, shirts etc - although these are likely to get covered up)

-Change upper body equipment (shirts, breastplates, dresses, tunics, robes etc)

-Change arm equipment (gloves, armlets etc)

-Change lower body equipment (skirts, trousers, belts etc)

-Change ankle equipment (socks, bandages, stockings etc)

-Change leg equipment (shoes, boots etc)

-Change special equipment

Using tabs (pressing left or right on the d-pad) you can then edit the colours of each of these, with some having more than one colour option.

Changing Physical Attributes

For new characters you can edit the following areas:

Physique - change mass and muscularity (although you won't notice muscle changes as well if your character is already fully clothed).

Voice - there are several templates (more can be unlocked) and here you can change the pitch +50 or -50. You get a looped audio sample as a reference.

Hair Style - there are a number of templates with more being unlocked as you purchase new characters and play.

Face - You can choose from 8 female face templates by default and 20 male faces.

Change Hair Color - some will allow for multiple colors. You can choose two shades for most.

Change Eye Brows and Facial Hair

Change Eye Color

Change Skin Color

Change Color of Base Equipment - this changes the basic underwear colour such as bra and panties.

Changing weapons/fighting style

Here you can select the base fighting style that you chose from the earlier option.

Japanese Sword - Mitsurugi

Zanbatou - Seong Mi-na

Ninja Sword x2 - Taki

Nunchuck - Maxi

Katar x2 Voldo

Short Sword w/Small Shield - Sophitia

Sword Rapier - Raphael

Tonfa x2 - Talim

Short Sword w/Small Shield - Cassandra

Lai Sword (hidden in umbrella) - Setsuka

Ring Blade - Tira

Sword Lance - Hilde

Sword Rapier - Amy

Each character then has various weapons with differing attributes you can then equip. Some will need to be purchased and some will have abilities in the slots.

Skills Overview

Each character has four available slots although some can be filled if using a weapon with special abilities. There are five main attributes (listed below) although the skills that you select have a points requirement, which means if you do not have the required points you won't be able to add that skill. To gain more points you need to level up your character and change weapons first. You cannot stack skills over your maximum limit. The effects of skills can either a constant effect, a chance effect or entered manually by pressing A+B+K simultaneously.

Achievements

Thanks to  Axe Argonian's guide
*I had edited out the boosting suggestions and added some more

Encounter with the Unknown             10G
Fight against Yoda.
- Can be done online unranked or ranked. You can both be Yoda and you will both get the achievement. If you don't want to fight online for this, you can easily play through ARCADE MODE using Darth Vader's Apprentice, and you will end up in a battle against Yoda on Stage 7. (Note: The Apprentice is unlocked by beating Arcade Mode with Yoda.)

Pursuer of the Secret                           10G
Clear STORY MODE on difficulty: NORMAL.
- Self-explanatory. Game is fairly easy even for button mashers.

Mystery of the Swords                         20G

Clear STORY MODE on difficulty: HARD.
- Same as above. One good tactic is to dash forward at beginning of fight and throw (Left Trigger). After they fall simply dash towards them and throw again. (NOTE: These difficulty-based Achievements don't stack. This isn't a problem because STORY MODE consists of only 5 stages.)

May the Force be with You              20G
Clear STORY MODE with Yoda.
- Self-explanatory.

War Veteran      10G

Clear ARCADE MODE.
- Again, self explanatory. See tactic in mystery of the swords if needing help.

Hero on the Battlefield       20G

Clear ARCADE MODE with over 450,000 points.
- Any help on this one? Seems like you will need almost all perfects to achieve this.

The Consecutive win bonus really makes the difference in the end with a total of 127k. So assuming you never lose a round entirely (Losing a round and throwing the fight to retry will void all Consecutive win bonuses):

Stage 1 - No Consecutive Win Bonus
Stage 2 - 1000
Stage 3 - 2000
Stage 4 - 4000
Stage 5 - 8000
Stage 6 - 16000
Stage 7 - 32000
Stage 8 - 64000

Various bonuses:
Soul Gauge bonuses - 1500 to 3500
Time Bonus - 3000 to 8000
First Hit Bonus - 1000
Perfect - 15000
Health Bonus - 100 to 10000
"X" hit combo - Depends on damage and number
Unblockable attack - 1000
Wall hit - 1000
Last Attack - Depends on damage
Ukemi - 100
Impact - 500
Overkill - 100
Critical Finish - 1500

Alternatively, You can throw a battle if you don't get a perfect without any point deductions. But if you do this, you will lose the consecutive win bonuses.

Tip: Use Astaroth's cheap combo by holding Down/Back and X, then hitting Y. If done right, he will wind up a low swing and knock your opponent down, then do a hard overhead swing. Repeat these two moves over and over and they shouldn't be able to even move.

Legendary Hidden Treasures        20G
Acquire over 30 treasures in TOWER OF LOST SOULS.
- In the TOWER OF LOST SOULS, there are 60 floors. On each floor, there is a hint at the beginning of the match. The hint slyly explains what you're supposed to do in the match.

Never Ending Advance    20G
Descend 20 floors in TOWER OF LOST SOULS.
- Survival mode where you can have two characters. Descend is unlocked after clearing about twenty upper floors. You cannot rejuvenate between floors, so you must do whatever it takes to survive. A good tip is to use Nightmare and hang out near the edge of each arena. Wait for the enemy to reach you, then grab your opponent to throw him over the edge.

Reach Floor 20 in the TOLS on descend. You unlock Descend when you complete 20 floors of acsend. Wait until you have unlocked more equipment to create a custom character with High attack, defense, Hp, Hp Drain A and/or Hp Burst.

Tower's New Guardian    30G
Clear all upper floors of TOWER OF LOST SOULS.
- Fight through 60 floors, mainly at 2-3 floors at a time in a mini survival mode.

Scorpion's Sting      10G
Win a battle with Critical Finish.
- Attack your opponent while they are blocking until their soul gauge blinks red. After this, either on the third strong attack or the fifth weak attack(ex. only pressing y), you will soul crush them. Now immediately press Left Bumper to execute a Critical Finish.   The easiest way to do this is to have a friend block while you attack them.

Smasher     10G
Destroy all of the opponent's equipment.
Play long rounds, destroyed equipment carries over. Do high attacks until top breaks, mid until mid breaks, then finally low attacks until last piece of armor breaks.

    *  Make a character with low attack, high defense, high hp
    * For skills, have Hp Burst if possible
    * Play TOS ascension Floor 11 where they have high defense
    * Just attack them with low, middle and high attacks

Use Mitsurugi and these moves:

    * High attack - X, X or Y+B
    * Middle attack - Down/Back+X, Y or Y, Y or Back+Y+B, Hold X+Y
    * Low attack - Down/Back+Hold X

Iron Hammer    10G

and an attack on a taunting opponent.
- It a taunting opponent

Death on the Battlefield         30G

Perform 100 Critical Finishes.
- See Scorpion's Sting.

Like a Flowing Stream       20G
Perform 200 Impacts.
When opponent is attacking, hit forward and A immediately. It's all about timing.

    * Create a character with high defense and high hp.
    * Give him/her Auto Impact A and Impact Heal
    * Just hold block and let the enemy attack you
    * Play one of the harder floors in TOLS acsension. Play the one with Cassandra because she attacks very often and very quickly.

An easy way to get this online is to get a friend to play as Yoda and you play as Kilik. Get your friend to do light attacks with Yoda (X) and then you press (->) + (A). Yoda is the easiest character to do impacts against as he has to jump to do light attack, so it is easy to anticipate. So when you see Yoda jump do the Impact.

Lost in the Moment        30G

Perform 20 Just Impacts.
as Impact(Guard Impact), but timing is near perfect. You will most likely get these before the 200 Guard Impacts though due to luck.

    * Create a character with high defence and high hp
    * Give him/her Master Impact and Impact Heal
    * Play one of the harder floors in TOLS acsension. Play the one with Astaroth because his attacks are slower and you can anticipate them easier.

Quick Strike      10G
Perform 5 First Attacks in a row in Arcade.
- Pretty self-explanatory, just run forward and hit x as soon as the battle starts. Not very hard.

Swift Strike       20G

Perform 100 First Attacks.
-  ranked/unranked,  get just by playing.

Mad Destroyer     20G
Perform 100 Soul Crushes.
- See Scorpion's Sting. You have to do these in able to get a critical finish.

Violent Storm      20G
Perform 50 Wall Hits.
- Easiest map is Egyptian Temple. With a partner(online), back them up to corner and do strong attacks.

10,000 Strikes of Proof         30G

Land 10,000 attacks.
- Either boost with a friend online, or get simply by playing.

Endure 1,000      30G
Guard 1,000 times against attacks.
- Same as 10,000 Strikes of Proof. You should be pretty close if you have already boosted the Soul Crushes/Critical Finishes.

Water Moon       20G
Perform 30 grapple breaks.
- Hit Left Trigger right when you are about to be thrown.

First Step as an Artist      5G
Customize a regular character.
- Self-explanatory and a pretty fun Achievement.

Chosen by History     5G
Create a custom character.
- Self-explanatory and a pretty fun Achievement.

Sharpened Teeth        20G

Maximize a style's level.
- Level any character up to level 9 by winning matches. Fairly easy if you use one character a lot.

You level up characters' styles by defeating an opponent (not a round or total damage done). E.g. In the first battle of Story mode, you face 3 enemies, your character style makes progress towards leveling up when you defeat just 1 opponent.

If you play TOLS with 2 characters, whoever defeats the opponent gets the "exp" towards leveling up their style. Even if Mitsurugi does 90% of the damage and Yun-Seong delivers the final blow, Yun-Seong will get the "exp."

Equal Skill and Power     20G
Use all skill points and set up 4 skills.
- This is somewhat tricky. You have to combine equipment together to get Power/Impact/Boost/Gauge/Special stats. Now you have to set 4 skills in the character creation menu to match exactly the numbers for each of those stats. Easiest done with a high level character (7-9).

Easy "Equal Skill And Power" achievement

To get the "Equal Skill And Power" achievement, have Siegfried's fighting style leveled to at least 4. To do this, attach the following equipment:

      Helmet: Hero's Band
      Mask: Hannya Mask
      Neckless/Cape: Embroidered Cape
      Shoulders: Nightmare Pauldron
      Undergarment: Usurper's Suit
      Shirt: Executioner's Breastplate
      Gloves: Iron Gauntlets
      Pants: Paladin's Fauld
      Socks: Shinobi Tabi
      Boots: Lusca Sabatons
      Weapon: Take Off (surfboard)

Once you have all of those items attached, go to "Skills", and add the following:

      Auto Counter C
      Double-Edged Sword
      Soul Gauge Boost B
      Auto Impact B

Save and exit, and you will get a message stating that you got the achievement. The newly created hero will look rather bad and can be deleted after the achievement is received.

Another way to get this achievement easily is to have Raphael's skill leveled to 3. Note: You may have to play through the Tower Of Lost Souls to unlock some items.

      Helmet: Hero Band
      Eyeware: None
      Neck: Guardian's Neck Cloth
      Shoulder: Pauldrons
      Undergarments: Protective Tatoo
      Upper Body: Paladin's Curiass
      Arm: Engraved Gauntlets
      Lower Body: Guimian Yecha
      Ankle: Shinobi Tabi
      Leg: Warthog Boots
      Weapon: Estoc
      Skill: Willpower
      Skill: HP Drain B
      Skill: Nullify Counter C
      Skill: Impact Heal

Using Raphael or your created fighter, you can make the fighter look better by changing the entire base color set to black and have the headband's second color, the upper body's third and fourth color, and the lower body's second and fourth color white. Add white unkempt hair and eyes for additional effect.

- Kind of hard to time it right, but it is the last two numbers of total play time and remaining time in a victorious battle were the same.

Two Cannot Exist Together          20G
Exhaust each other's power.
-Knock each out at the same time. This achievement is all luck.

Observer of Souls      30G
Collect all illustrations in Art Gallery.
- You must purchase everything in the "Art Gallery". This includes "Illustrations", "High Quality Models", "Promotional Materials", and "Special". The prices range from 1000 - 5000 gold. To be able to purchase all of this, you must unlock all characters (Gathering of the Best achievement - aka Complete the Chain of Souls)

Gathering of the Best      20G

Completed Chain of Souls.

You need to unlock every character to get this Achievement. Every main character can be bought at the Character Creation Mode.

    * Buy all the greyed out characters in Create a Character mode
    * Unlock 5 Bonus characters by completing Story mode (see below)
    * Complete Arcade mode with Yoda to unlock The Apprentice
    * Go to Museum > Chain of Souls and exit

Sword Hunter                 15G
Collect all weapons for 5 characters.
- In character creation, pick an original character, then scroll over to weapons and buy the other weapons they have. Do this for five different people. Will take a substantial amount of money. You must complete the story mode with the character to be able to purchase all of their weapons (two new ones unlock for purchase at that time)

The Controller              20G

Get Soul Calibur (Final Form).
- Finish story mode with Siegfried, then go into his character edit and purchase the final form weapon.

Wild Run to Tragedy          20G

Get Soul Edge (Final Form).
- Finish story mode with Nightmare, then go into his character edit and purchase the final form weapon.

Looter of the Battlefield      20G
Collect all accessories.
- So far, only know of the Tower of Lost Souls special requirements to receive accessories.

You DO NOT have to complete 40 floors of TOSL descend mode to unlock all accessories. When you unlock 30 achievements in the game, you unlock more equipment/accessories to be bought. Accessories belong to "Special equipment" which only a few characters like Yoda, The Apprentice, Bonus Characters and Algol can access.

Wandering Weapon Merchant      20G
Collect 350 pieces of equipment.
- When customizing a character there are armor/clothes/weapons/jewelery that you can purchase. I believe buying this stuff contributes to this total. To make all weapons available for each character you must complete the story with each one. You must also level the character up to 9.

Transcend History and the World        50G

Acquire all weapons and equipment.
- Again you must complete the story with each character to make everything available for purchase. Also, level each character up to 9. You will most likely have this done before you come close to being able to afford it all.

SECRET ACHIEVEMENTS

Start of a New Era        5G
Welcome to the new world of SOULCALIBUR!
- Put in the game. Watch the beginning cutscene. After it is finished, hit start then A.

Tower of Gold               20G
Acquire over 1,000,000 Gold.
- In process of making sure this is/is not cumulative. Seems Tower of Lost Souls or finishing Story/Arcade mode pump out lots of cash.

Do 60F in the Tower of Souls and let Algol jump-ring out himself. Do not attack at all; back off until you reach the black rings and let Algol knock you off your feet, roll around and let Algol attack you, he will eventually jump out. This achievement is cumulative, so don't worry about saving gold. Meaning you can spend it. I got my achievement with 500k gold in my "bank".

I'm pretty sure he is being sarcastic.

Please post if you need help or are posting something useful.  You seem to just write spam.  As far as my whole links not working under my guide, those aren't meant to be links to anything else but just character names.  I didn't appreciate you posting between my guide either.  I will have that erased by a mod.[JD's edit: I already did that yesterday]

Excellent job on the guide.  Very informative, but I do have one question.  On the Chain of Souls, how do you get the character on the far left of the screen?  This would be the spot above Yoda and The Apprentice, with only a red(?) connection to one character.

I just went on Soulcaliber to check....let's see...The character is "Ashlotte Maedel"...Defeat Ashlotte in Story mode with Angol Fear, Astaroth, Lizardman, Maxi, Rock, or Talim. Then you unlock her. Smile [:)]

Thanks Decode.  I guess the fights change each time you use a character?  I've taken Astaroth through Story Mode and obviously I did not fight her.  Oh well, with that list of characters I can try it again.

this one if i'm not mistaken can be done with yoshimitzu. if you get an opponent low on health and then let them beat you up some. when you are both around 1/4 health use the move where you stick yourself through the stomach taking damage and if you hit them you will both die at the same time.

In Tower of Losts Souls
Floor 46 and 47 is killing me O_o

I mean, how the heck do you beat this!?
That first fighter with Taki skills always goes berserk on me, the bad thing is she takes nearly half of my health with a single blow or kick!
By the time I get to the boss I am down with little health.

I managed to actually get a treasure chest for the floor 46, me thinking without using skills I can finish the 2 floors.

I made like 6/7 custom characters just to find out how to beat this stage, I checked guides on the net, none of them showed a way except the treasure you get from beating the 2 floors!
