I'm Stuck. Help Please! (Possible Spoilers)
I'm at the part where I'm supposed to talk to the Arms Dealer.

I've talked to him and he basically shrugged me off.

What do I do?

I like how people can have a gamertag that says Che Guevara even thoe he was a tyrannical murderer, however we would ban Hitler gamertags before you could even submit them.

Don't you have better things to do than spend your time on a forum commenting on how people have gamertags that you don't like?

By the way, I checked out the people who put out that Youtube vid, the Reason Foundation.

I found a few interesting things about them :

- The Reason Foundation supports the privatization of almost all government functions (Kinda like when the state merged with corporations in Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy)

- From 1978 to 2005, the Reason Foundation denied that human beings were even slightly responsible for climate change (They even received funding from Exxon Mobil)

So I'm stuck at the part where you have to get the oars to get to Andala, but the oars are in the basement of the pub, where there are a bunch of rats crawling around. Now I'm pretty sure I need to get the cat from the church to kill the rats, and I have the catnip, but nothing happens when I try to use it at the church. Anybody have any ideas?

Supporting privatization isn't the same as corporatism (which is economic facism). Some of their editors still deny man made climate change, and back it up with climatologist like Richard Lindzen. However regardless of those things, they are not what the video is about, so its just a red herring.

The point is your gamertag idealizes a mass murderer

Also, my list of unused items: Pocket watch anville catnip archer's bow plunger pickaxe bucket I'm guessing I've missed something with all the items I have right now, so any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Combine the bow and plunger, use it to get the cat (make sure you have the catnip equipped) and then use the cat to get rid of the rats.

I disagree. Assuming for one second that the allegations that Ernesto "Che" Guevara did in fact execute prisoners at La Cabana are true, the prisoners weren't innocent by any means. The prisoners at La Cabana were spies, soldiers, supporters and campaign contributors of the Batista regime. Batista has a million times more blood on his hands than Che and is considered to be a latin Hitler.

Simply put, if in fact Ernesto "Che" Guevara did execute prisoners at La Cabana, the prisoners in question got what they deserved. If you don't agree, ask yourself this: If you had the option to punish the supporters of Hitler in post WWII Germany, would you?

Anyway, I suggest we get back on topic.

Before I state the answer explicitly, have you managed to get into the cave below him? They're speaking a different language, so perhaps if you found a way to understand Andalan you could talk your way past him.

No if you check the facts, you will find the people he "executed" didn't even receive a trail. I also don't believe in capital punishment, and the fact that Che carried out 100s of executions, with out trial on political prisoners just shows how coercive he and his ideologies are. In any sense comparing the Nuremberg trials to Che and the Cuban revolutionaries so called trials is a joke. The people he murdered were hardly genocidist, and if any of the prisoners did get any trial it was sloppy and unjust.

How did you get the Arms dealer to talk to you about Gunpowder then?  I've managed to get the cat, sort the rat problem out and get the "foldable oars" (which seem of no immediate use) but my current objective seems to be to talk to the arms dealer, who keeps telling me I'm just a kid...thanks in advance for any help!

Um, I know I'm freakishly stupid, as it seems everyone else has found it; but where is the gods damned catnip?  I'll take my answer sans spoiler if you wish.  And it can be vague, if you want to just give me a hint.  I feel like I've run all around and talked to everyone (willing to admit it felt that way a few times already, till I stumbled on the solution, so this is probably a similar situation...).  Just saw DeeJay's note about carrying items, and not always having to use them, but I'm at work and can't check that now.  I'll try it when I get home before I check the forums again.  But any help here would be hot!  (Sorry, couldn't resist that last one, if anyone here gets the reference...shameless thirty-something...)

There's a certain area in the castle grounds that the three guards don't want you to visit...but you can leap over them quite easily and at the end, rather well blended in with the ground, is your catnip!

Incidentally, just finished the game (1 hour 3mins) and despite the ending being rather bleak, I rather enjoyed it.  It's been a long long time since I played a Dizzy-esque game so it was a pleasant surprise to find this game.

Thanks!

I went there but got arrested a couple times.  Thought it would be like the castle was - that it would open as soon as I found a certain item.  Unsurprised to find out I was just being a *** and staying away.

Now I've got to wait 2 hours and 39 minutes for work to be done...

Blimey! That's the quickest completion time I've seen from a player other than myself. Hope it wasn't too short for your liking: we considered making it longer, but felt it just diluted the experience rather than add to it.

I can do it in 24 minutes, if you fancy a challenge...

Re: I'm Stuck. Help Please! (Possible Spoilers)
Apologies in advance for the long post! :)

It's rather odd because it felt like a lot longer, I think the save system aided my time as sometimes I'd go around for ages searching for an answer to a puzzle, give up and of course when you restart at a later time/date the save goes back to the last time it saved (last solved puzzle).

I only really got *stuck* in two places, the curtains and how to pick up the cat...the later of which was obvious yet not, purely because it introduced a new puzzle-solving element in the "just have it in your possession" situation.  The curtains I felt were less obvious and I don't think I'd have ever gotten were it not for asking.

I really enjoyed it and despite the fact I probably won't play it again, I did find it value for money and I'd love to see what you could come up with were a publisher to pick up on your products and put some money behind them.  It reminded me of the Spectrum days, specifically the Dizzy games, which had no save system to speak of and you hardly ever finished :D

The ending could be misconstrued as "depressing" but I feel that the Goering text explained what you were going for, it wasn't a cheerful happy go lucky situation you (as the protagonist) were in, it was unpleasant despite the pretty graphics.

My only complaint in the entire game would be the piano music, it's lovely but repetitive and when you are searching for an answer you go in and out of  "areas" and the music keeps changing over and over!  Wonderful game though, despite its roots being ancient it was lovely to play something a bit different for a change.  Moreover, I'm at the point where I'm sick of swearing in games, once it was a novelty but now it's in EVERY game, this was lovely as it was an "adult" game with no language, no violence but an adult story!  Bravo!

Hey everyone,
I seem to be stuck on the same spot a couple of you were, with the armory shopkeeper brushing me off. I have tried seemingly every combination of items, and tried using the curtains but it does not seem to do anything. I would not be asking for help unless I really needed it, so please enlighten me on how to get past that spot. Thanks in advance.

You don't use the curtains on him, you use them on the window above him.  Go in the house to the left and go upstairs, then run and jump to your right to be on the arms dealers landing area, there's a window there casting light into his house...and...well,...you get the idea I imagine.

That hint makes no sense to me at all. All that was in the cave was a freaking rope, and I can't find a way to use that ANYWHERE! One guy understood your hint, but I don't, and I'm going CRAZY trying to find help for this stupid game (first time in the game I've needed help, too)! Somebody please reply quickly!

Take the rope and go to the far left of the map, where there is a ship that a guard won't let you on.

Go in the house before it, go upstairs and jump left onto the wooden structure.  You will notice that you can use the an item on the hook...tightrope-fun ensues.
