prefer getting the 4th one than this not really an exciting game

For what this game costs now it's definitely worth it.  The 4th one isn't worth the plastic it's printed on.

I have to agree. Although PGR4 offers much more features and options and better graphics - PGR3 for me at the moment is more fun to play. Can't really tell why, but that's how it is - just simple, quick and uncomplicated races for in between. If I want the real challenge, I play Forza.
And it is very well worth the 25% of the original price it costs right now, even if you already have PGR4. 

I didn't think 4's graphics were that much better... But the inclusion of motorcycles did set it apart from the previous PGRs...

I pop them both in from time to time, trying to pick up a few more golds (on 4) and platinums (on 3). I'm also still after the tournament achievement, so 3 gets into the drive a bit more than 4...

That being said, this is definitely a decent game for the money, especially now that it can be found for so little .

PGR3's basic barebones career mode has a certain charm, that makes collecting cars and earning kudos that much more enjoyable and rewarding. Rather than pGR 4 that gives you a whole chunk a cars at a time.

The Reward system is better a more personalised, as you can choose your cars and the garage system is great for showing off your collection

One other thing... Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I did not pop 4 back in to check... But with 3 and the career, you can race any car (that you own) from any class. At least for what I was doing yesterday this was true... I was finding the A class (and even B & C for that matter) too hard to win with... So I dropped down to D class and found a better balance between my skill and the A.I. (for platinum level). Now granted it was just a couple races, but I don't think 4 gave option.

i personally hate it, more into nfs. if you want ultra realism and not being able to customize cars, then this the game for you though

I would not say "ultra realism", as no matter how hard you bash/crash the PGR cars they just keep running fine (though they do start to look a little rough). For this reason, PGR is considered more of an "arcade" racer, not a sim (such as Forza or GRID, which do take damage).

I find PGR to be more arcadey then the NFS series, i cannot handle the NFS cars.

And Yes , Being able to use any class car in any race is great in pGR3. Number 4 just isnt as fun when you have to stick to one of 4 cars for each race.

Yes! this game is really good! but i didnt like pgr4 so much,the handling of the cars is not the same and the menu and career system is a mess!

Every bit worth the $7.99 I paid for it!

I can't even stress to you how "worth gettin" this game is... Project Gotham 3 & 4 are my favorite racing games that I've played so far on the 360.  Even if you already have PGR4... if you like it, you'll love this one too... they're basically the same game with different cars, tracks, a few changes here and there, but 4 has better music in my opinion.
