Looks like the Konami media machine are at it again. http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/970/970874p1.html Feel a slight bit of Deja Vu as the put so much spin into 2009 and that was all cr@p so i wonder how this will trun out. i really hope the make a big change because Fifa smashed them last year in my opinion.

Its ridiculous, all thats new is they have rights for the europa league. Who cares. Other than that its the same rubbish they always come up with. Im defo getting fifa this year.

You will never look back mate. Fifa09 is brilliant. This year's fifa is gonna after be special to beat it.. I use to play pes,but konami have totally ruined it. They don't seem to be bothered,just lazy.. I use to stick up for pes. If someone had said to me,you will be playing fifa 5 years ago,i would have laughed in their face.. Credit to EA. At least they seem to listen to the customer. Moving forward,and not backwards. Fifa09 is on gameplay website for £14.98 and thats a absolute bargain..

Yeah i agree. Konami seem to think turning out the same stuff each year without any consideration to fans is ok. I like the part where it said "We have been monitoring feedback and comments on the progression of the PES series for some time now", they *** haven't lol, they also seem to think well we have to get off our arses and do something this year or we may go bust.

They might have monitored the feedback, but they certainly haven't paid any attention to it.

I've also played PES from day one and only jumped ship to FIFA over Xmas. It was a tough first month getting used to it but now I can't see myself going back to PES as it's so good. (Or rather I can if it beats FIFA, but that's not looking likely.)

BTW I'd heard PES 2010 is going to have a new game engine?

all i know that the boys at konami really need to pull a rabbit out of the hat if they want to compete. they will have to do a full rehaul of the game and i doubt they get it perfect as it took EA 3 attempts at next gen football to get Fifa 09 so good. fifa 09 is the frist fifa i have ever bought and i cant go back. i tried playing the latest pro evo at a friends house and its just comical to be honest. but really i hope pro evo do a good job, i really do, i would love 2 great football games. but i am more excited to see what EA do in the future

he's wrong, it's already been stated that there's a new game engine this year.

I've played pro evo for quite a while. I'm not a football fan at all but I enjoy a decent football game and I must say Pro Evo 09 was fine by my books. I've never played Fifa so unless Pro Evo 10 gets some news on it, looks like i'll be jumping on the Fifa wagon next year.

I have been a big fan of Pro Evo but the last 3 games have been very disappointing. I was never really a Fifa person but I did buy Fifa 09 and I hardly played Fifa because I was hoping to master PES but I became frustrated at the change of controller set up and I feel that the shooting on the game is rubbish compared to Fifa. So many times on PES I have got into the area and pressed direction and the shoot button and the end results were either the ball was chipped to the keeper or blasted at the keeper. I did the control shooting but that felt just as bad. On Fifa I felt more control over the skills and shooting. I belive that Konami should invite really games to there HQ and give the game a GOOD testing before release

I have been a die-hard pro evo fan from the ISS days but even i have to admit that konamis recent attempts have been **** poor. i used to defend PES on every forum where people said FIFA was a better game. now i sinmply cannot defend the game (and i am biased aswel by the way) FIFA has blown pro evo out of the water and FIFA10 could very well be the final nail in the coffin unless konami can get their fingers out.

go to winningelevenblog.com to get all the info as it comes out.  there's a lot of optimism about 2010, from people who have played the game as it has been offered so far.  naturally, we're all holding our breath about the online situation.  but i think that we'll see the most changes in the game that we have in about 5 years.

In one of the videos of pes2010 you see some numbers next to the Barcelona players.

Seemed like overall player ratings (I think Xavi and Puyol had 90 something) but on the other hand I saw Henry had 66 if I remember correctly. Anyone know what those numbers really are?

PES2010 = PES2008 Pt II   from what i've seen so far of the youtube videos etc.  ,  passes going astray all the time and more.

I'll buy my copy when its confirmed that online works this year 100% and that it plays a decent game.

I wonder if we'll still be posting in the PES2008 forum this year, LOL.

i am sorry but its FIFA all the way for me again this year. from what i have seen of pro evo it looks just like the same gameplay with little improvements.  i hope i am wrong because i would love 2 great footie games, but i am not hopeful.

well you should check out the guys on PESgaming.com who have actually play tested a 70% build (the videos available so far are only of a 50% Gamescon build used to show off the graphics) they will give you all the pros and cons. (according to them much much better than 2009 with the 360 degree movement etc and Champs league online) Oh and Aberdeen and Hearts are licensed this year instead of just the old firm.

well the guys at pesgaming are going to be biased,  and saying that its better than pes 09 aint saying much as 09 was poor at best.  same stuff.  it has to be at least 70% improvement in all aspects than 09 to get my attention and money.  anyway i do hope it gets better as i have spent too much of my life on this series to see it go downhill.  lets see what happens,

i've read that & watched the vids of gameplay.  There are some nice little enhancements and apaprently they have removed some of the annoying bugs like the auto slide and so on.  Trouble is that the whole thing will simply be judged on whether it works online properly or not,   as for most people thats a huge part of it now.   No point paying out money to buy a product that only works 50%.    I'm not a FIFA fanboy either, tried it once and hated it (2009 version) !

Wait and see, all will be revealed in October.
