I had to change my gamertag (paid the ms points to have it changed, not create a new account) and now it's saying that I have to re-purchase this game, but I'm confused as to why?? Anyway around spending more points for a game that I already had??

I don,t know why this happened to you & i hope some one helps you, it happened to me when i had to recover my gamer tag, after having a new console, but i was reading a post once where the person had the same problem as yourself & he got help from the Xbox support team, they found that he had purchased the game & he had it recovered! .. I can only suggest the support team to solve your problem.  Good luck
