My highest on chapter 1 was 1.8 million, and still got a B++. Does anyone have a chart for the A Rank scores for each chapter? Im trying to actually get these achievements, but its kicking my ***!

I *think* Chapter 2's cutoff is 3 million. Maybe 3.2 million. It wouldn't hurt to download replays of these levels with certain scores and see what grade the player gets.

I think it depends on whether you start the game from level 1 or individual levels.  I am pretty sure i saw a replay of someone with 3m get s++ but his score starting the level was 7m.  I had 3.5m and got a b+.

You are indeed corect that Chapter 2 is 3 million. I'm not sure about final because I got like 4.7 or something on Prototype and went straight to S+. Guess I'd have to not chain those spirals for that one.

It also might be good to note, that if you use a continue, then you can't get anything better than a C rank.  You can effectively increase your starting lives through the settings menu, but it is pointless to use continues when going for A ranks.

i suck at this game but i still think it's fun

I'm trying really hard to get an A on chapter 1 but best I can get is C++ so far but I get a little better all the time... good thing the game is fun because I got a long way to go to reach "A" grade skill :)

I´ve find is easier (for me) to just kill the enemies that you will be able to chain, and leave the rest. That way, you won´t get an A grade, but you will fastly understand which ones can you hit most of the times, and which ones you can´t usually hit. Once there, you have to try chaining more enemies in the way, until you get the necessary chain to obtain A grade. At least, there are some enemies that even watching on a replay how to face them, I cannot do it correctly, so it´s better to let them alone.

Yeah, thats a good strategy... I still havent gotten an A on chapter 2 because I just cant chain those triangle ships at the start, they feel too random.

I think they move according to your position, so if you don´t do exactly the same moves, it will probably be different and you´ll *** up. It´s still a hard part for me, I can now easily survive them all, but I don´t see what´s happening, I just keep dodging. And it seems you need to get them all for getting an A grade in chapter 2...

I think I'm going to map the levels so that i can memorize which enemies will appear and when so I can get the chains.  Still hard though, when enemies of different polarities are clustered together.

nah, I dont think you need them for A, I should be able to get A if I chain both halves of the screen near the end... getting 74 seconds left on the second boss is pretty easy too.

got A on level 2 now, was rather easy, just had to add a few more chains.

tips: memorize as many chains as possible for the triangle ship circling part and once youve done them, stay in the centre without shooting. Keep your chain clear and special bar full for when the episode intro comes, take out every enemy of one color after that and then use special to take the rest out, then you can get a few huge chains on the spherical patterns (make a hole, go out and then wait for it to become one dot and shoot). Use special on the bottom when two black lasers come vertically in the middle of the stage to get chains from those 6 white enemies. the rest is pretty obvious.

On the boss, start shooting the core of your choice with the opposite color right when it shows up and use your special on it already, then open the cap again and shoot it with opposite polarity, it should be dead before it closes. then keep charging your special and spam it on the other core, you should be able to blow the boss up before it starts the second phase.

I now know I´ll get A grade on 2nd and 5th chapter after some more hours of training. I don´t know if chapter 3 and 4 will be doable for me after some time... At least I will try them all

I didn't find chapter 5 too difficult.  Just watch the top video and you will have the chains down like that, and all that leaves is the final boss.  It takes a little bit of practice, but I had the boss down to one continue within the hour.

Yeah, it´s the easiest next to Chapter 1, but it still takes time, at least for me. I can chain most of the enemies, but I usually break the chain somewhere, and I need to kill all the bosses without losing lives... At first one I usually make stupid mistakes changing from a face to another, at second one I totally suck, and if I have any lives left, the third one manages to take them from me.

I know it isn´t that hard, but I usually do mistakes here and there... And I´ve only played 7 hours ingame, I hadn´t played it before, so it takes some time to improve at concrete parts of the game, even watching exactly what you have to do.

if you already know, on the second form of the last boss (before the sphere) when you get those chasing anchors, when you destroy one, go in tiny circles so you have enough room to go above and below.

yes A rank is impossible
i've only just restarted playing the game after i got borred with gta4 and got an A rank
of course it took me about 300 credits lol but i got it
